94+ RP. "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Pierra comes from the winery’s steepest slopes on its highest eastern valley elevation. Some minerality can be found, but the wine is currently dominated by its gorgeous dark black cherry component. This meaty, full-bodied, opulent 2012 possesses good acidity, excellent tannin, real sucrosity and generosity, and a full-bodied, long finish. It should turn out to be something special. There is something almost Rhône-like in this beauty." Wine Advocate #215, Oct 2014 |
