94 JG. "Champeaux is another of my favorite premier crus in Gevrey and the Domaine Fourrier version is one of the finest with which I am familiar. The 2011 is a stunning wine, soaring from the glass in a complex mélange of sappy red and black cherries, red plums, cocoa, a touch of nutskin, glorious, dark soil tones and a nice touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and sappy at the core, with ripe tannins, lovely focus and balance and a very long, transparent and very complete finish. Glorious juice."
