Lot #263. Jean-Marie Fourrier Echézeaux Vieilles Vignes 2013

Description: Consists of 1 Magnum, 1.5L
Score: 94+ JG.
"The plot of vines that Jean-Marie Fourrier purchases grapes for his Echézeaux hail form the lieu à dit of les Champs Traversins, which lies up on the slope alongside of les Rouges du Bas. The 2013 is a beautiful bottle in the making, offering up a nascently complex and black fruity mélange of cassis, black cherries, bonfire, dark soil tones, venison and a discreet framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very, very soil-driven in personality, with a rock solid core of fruit, ripe tannins and a long, primary and tangy finish. An outstanding example." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2014, Issue #54
Provenance: The Atlantic Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $425
