Lot #795. Sanguis Syrah The Last Dance 2004

Description: Consists of 2 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 94 RP.
"From the Westerly, Thompson, and Watch Hill vineyards, my favorite of this quartet, the 2004 Syrah The Last Dance, boasts a dense purple hue along with notes of camphor, creosote, blackberries, chocolate, and pain grille. It possesses superb richness, tremendous depth, and a savory mouthfeel. Drink this long, opulent, heady Syrah . . . . The packaging of these outstanding offerings from proprietor Matthias Pippig is reminiscent of that of Elaine and Manfred Krankl’s Sine Qua Non (i.e., hand-painted labels and heavy, over-sized bottles). Moreover, the wines are top-notch." Wine Advocate #172, Aug 2007
Notes: 1 x 2.5cm, 1 x 3cm, Handwritten notation, very lightly scuffed wax capsule, very lightly scuffed, very lightly torn label.
