Lot #67. La Mission Haut-Brion 1966

Description: Consists of 4 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 95 NM.
"The 1966 Mission displays much more intensity on the nose than the 1970. Lovely notes of cedar, a touch of cigar box, white pepper and a touch of dried blood. Superb delineation and lift – but very classic, very ’66 in style. The palate is medium-bodied with good weight and vigour, classic and anachronistic, great delineation and authority with a wonderful 'stoic' finish. A marvellous, quite regal La Mission." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Jul 2008
Provenance: The Alton Cellar
Notes: 2 Top shoulder, 1 upper mid shoulder, 1 mid shoulder, lightly corroded, adhesive residue on capsules, glue stained, 3 nicked, glue stained, lightly faded, 2 lightly wrinkled labels.
