"The 2009 Lignier Charmes-Chambertin is also a superb example of the vintage. The dynamite nose offers up scents of red and black cherries, spice tones, grilled meats, mustard seed, coffee bean and excellent minerality. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, long and very classy, with fine mid-palate depth, ripe tannins and exceptional length and grip on the nascently complex finish.
