Lot #237. Pavie Macquin 1994

Description: Consists of 3 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 91 AG.
"The 1994 Pavie-Macquin is the best of these wines from the early 1990s. Still deep and fleshy (for a wine of its age), the 1994 has enough depth to hold on for another few years. Crushed flowers, tobacco, cedar, mint and dried red berry fruit all open up nicely in this mid-weight, expressive, fully mature Saint-Émilion. Stephane Derenoncourt describes 1994 as a year with no summer and no sun. All things considered, the 1994 has held up well. At the time only eight hectares of vineyards were in production." Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com, May 2020
Provenance: The Jardin Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $180
