93 AM. "This continues to sail along as though it's in a time warp because while there is some secondary development noticeable on the nose, the aromatic profile remains largely youthful with fresh notes of various red berries, plenty of Gevrey-style earth and a gamy character. There is equally good vibrancy and detail to the middle weight mineral-driven flavors that are still shaped by firm though by no means hard tannins, all wrapped in a balanced, long and delicious finish. This is really quite lovely and while it could certainly be enjoyed now, it seems clear that not only is this still on the way up but that greater depth is on the way. I would advise holding any bottles that you might have for another 4 to 7 years before beginning to drink them in earnest. In any event, the '99 CSJ should hold for years to come."
