94 JG. "I have always loved the Raveneaus’ Butteaux and the 2012 is going to be another absolutely stellar bottle of Chablis in the years to come. The very precise and vibrant nose delivers a lovely blend of lemon, pink grapefruit, tart orange, simply crystalline minerality, smoke and a fine topnote of orange zest. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite primary in personality, with a rock solid core, stunning intensity of flavor, laser-like focus and superb cut and grip on the very, very long and primary finish. This will be a great bottle of wine." John Gilman, View From the Cellar #48, Dec 2013 |
