93 AG. "The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Champs-Gains is a very pretty wine done in a slightly reductive style that brings out the fresher side of Chassagne. Hints of pear, slate, smoke, chamomile and dried flowers are beautifully delineated. This understated, chiseled Chassagne offers considerable appeal. There is striking focus and drive to the flavors, but the 2014 is still quite young and in need of further time in bottle to be at its best. The long, saline-infused finish adds to the wine's pure appeal." Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com, Jun 2017 |
