"Purple-tinged ruby. More sauvage, highly distinctive aromas of crystallized cassis, bitter cherry, currant, cedar, tobacco and leather. Sweet, lush and velvety, with superb precision of flavor and firm underlying structure. Possesses a stronger acid spine than the merlot.
