93+ ST. "Bright medium red. Musky blueberry, black raspberry, menthol and a cool chalky quality on the nose. Densely packed, fine-grained and seamless but youthfully imploded, showing vibrant, extremely backward flavors of raspberry, pomegranate and minerals. Builds impressively on the firmly tannic finish. There's something Musigny-like about this beauty, but today there's no way in. ‘The 2012s are denser than the 2013s but still sensual wines,’ said Bruno Clavelier, who, like a few of his colleagues on the Côte de Nuits, believes that the '12s are already closing down …. ‘The vintage shows balance, persistence, energy and minerality, the four elements of great Burgundy,’ he summarized."
