"Now this is a wonderful Hermitage from the master. A captivating nose, quite gamey with cooked meats, underlying minerals, a touch of Valrona chocolate, coca and roasted herbs. Very complex with incredible definition. The palate is full-bodied and full of tension and poise. Elegant, refined with cooked meat, cherry and wild strawberry on the mid-palate. Very harmonious. On this occasion I preferred it to Chave’s 1990 . . ." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Dec 1999
