93 JG. "The 2004 Felsenberg Spätlese is really singing out of the blocks, as the wine offers up a superb bouquet of white cherries, Granny Smith apples, white grapes, striking minerality, a touch of petrol and a topnote of iris blossoms. On the palate the wine is medium-full, deep and complex, with both more minerality and more depth of fruit than the Kirschheck served before it. The finish is long, tensile and very minerally, with great structural integrity, and superb length and grip on the brisk finish. Beautiful juice in the making."
