96 RP. "From a windy plot, the 2011 Pinot Noir Atticus John Sebastiano Vineyard is a smoking California Pinot that has everything you look for in the variety. Offering up a gorgeously perfumed, complex array of sweet black raspberry, crushed flowers, dried underbrush and forest floor, it is rich, medium to full-bodied and layered on the palate. Deep and concentrated, with a great mid-palate and sweet tannin, it’s a thrilling drink and should continue to shine . . . . Paul Lato continues to knock it out of the park and I can’t say enough about the quality coming from this estate. Across the board, the wines show classic, varietally correct profiles that always show finesse and elegance, yet back it up with layers of fruit and texture." Wine Advocate #208, Aug 2013 |
