Lot #179. Armand Rousseau Chambertin-Clos de Bèze 1995

Description: Consists of 1 Magnum, 1.5L
Score: 95 AM.
"There is strikingly good concentration to the wonderfully textured medium weight plus flavors that possess the same impressive depth as displayed by the nose along with impeccably good balance for such a powerful wine. The length though is what separates this wine from the "merely" great as it just goes on and on. The underlying material is knockout good and it may surprise you to read that even after 30 years of bottle age, this is still not even close to being ready . . . . To be sure, this is certainly a first-class pleasure to savor but if you want to drink it at its peak, I'm afraid that you're just going to have to have a bit more patience. In sum, this is a stunner of a Clos de Bèze that will very likely see its 100th birthday in fine condition!" Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Jul 2015
Provenance: The Nantais Cellar
Notes: Slightly protruding cork, wrinkled and lightly scuffed capsule, wine stained label.
