91+ JG. "Surprisingly, the 2007 les Fuées was a tad more shut down than the Clos de la Maréchale in November, but this wine shows really lovely potential and is every bit as good out of bottle as I recall it out of barrel. The deep, reticent and very classy nose offers up scents of red and black cherries, a touch of pomegranate, coffee and a beautiful base of soil. On the palate the wine is fullish, deep and pure, with a sappy core of fruit, lovely charm, and a very long finish that closes with impeccable focus and velvety tannins. A lovely vintage of Les Fuées . . ." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Jan/Feb 2010, Issue #25 |
