Lot #158. Marquis d'Angerville Volnay Clos des Ducs 1989

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 93 AM.
"Wonderfully complex nose of ripe plums and dried cherries with beautifully precise, elegant flavors which are quite rich and unusually powerful by Clos des Ducs standards. The length here is outstanding as it does a slow build from the mid-palate and finishes with immaculate balance and solid persistence. Despite the richness, this offers beautiful definition and intense minerality in a very stylish package. The tannins are almost completely resolved and the wine is approaching its peak though this should drink well for another decade. Very classy juice." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Jul 2001
Notes: Very lightly scuffed capsule, very lightly scuffed, very lightly damp stained label.
