95 JG. "With some coaxing, the 2017 version of Cros Parantoux eventually starts to offer up a promising nose of red and black raspberries, Vosne spices, duck, a complex base of minerality, cedary new oak and lovely upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is suave, full-bodied and nascently complex, with a sappy core, beautiful backend mineral drive, ripe, seamless tannins and a long, tangy and perfectly balanced finish. I miss the old days, when I used to drink quite a bit of Cros Parantoux." John Gilman, View From the Cellar #78, Dec 2018 |
