Lot #297. Cécile Tremblay Chambolle-Musigny Les Cabottes 2010

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 90 ST.
"(Just the second vintage for this bottling, after Tremblay's multiple parcels reverted back to the Domaine; 25% new oak): Bright, deep ruby-red. Vibrant aromas of black cherry and licorice, complicated by nuances of leather and stone. A sweet, ripe fruit bomb in the mouth, creamy but with nicely integrated acidity. Finishes with lush tannins and a saline note, and a lingering flavor of dark chocolate .... Cécile Tremblay was originally planning to start her 2010 harvest on September 25 but moved that date up to September 21, as the ripeness of the fruit in Vosne-Romanée Beaux-Monts and Echézeaux was quite advanced. As a result, she picked those two vineyards, plus the Chapelle-Chambertin, before more than an inch of rain fell on the 24th. Tremblay vinified with about 50% whole clusters in 2009 but destemmed all of her fruit in 2010 except for 30% of the Echézeaux because 'there was not enough juice and we already had enough solid material, with thick skins.'" Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2012
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $750
