91 JG. "The 2005 Vireuils was just a tad reduced when I tasted it in November, but showed fine potential underneath. The nose offers up notes of apple, pear, lime blossom, just a hint of emerging Meursault nuttiness and lovely minerality. On the palate the wine is medium-full, focused and impressively racy, with good mid-palate depth, and fine cut and grip on the very long finish. Even though this is a touch reduced today, it is a bit longer and shows just a bit more intensity than the Meix Chavaux, and should ultimately prove to be just a hair superior."
