Luca Malbec 2014, 0.75L
Malbec from Valle de Uco, Mendoza

"From new plantings in Gualtallary, the 2014 Malbec has increased the proportion of fruit coming from this cool place to make it approximately a 50/50 blend of Malbec fruit from Gualtallary and La Consulta, both in the Valle de Uco. There is a big jump in precision and harmony along with more freshness and elegance. The expansive palate has great depth and fruit with very good freshness. This could well be the best vintage of Luca Malbec and I think the best might be yet to come, as the new vineyard matures. . ." 93 Wine Advocate

Whiskey from Canada, Canada

"This maple-syrup-flavored whisky is sure to please anyone with a sweet tooth. The base is a small-batch blend of 3- 5- and 7-year-old Canadian rye whiskies, lending backbone to the big maple and vanilla flavors, with a touch of peach and clove on the finish. Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin NV, 0.75L

"Sweet, mild, clean fragrance of lemon, juniper and licorice. This is a complex gin; more flavors can be detected with each sip: cinnamon spice, astringent pine needles, a touch of lime zest and, finally, a big licorice finish comes singing through. A. Mann Pinot Gris Grand Cru Hengst 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Gris from Alsace, Alsace

“The 2015 Pinot Gris Grand Cru Hengst is a gorgeously rich, intense and powerful Pinot with an oily texture, a vital acidity, great tension and length. Impressive.” Wine Advocate 93 Points

“Bright yellow with golden tinges. Perfumed aromas of guava, peach, minerals and sweet spices. Multilayered and suave, displaying a lovely sense of balance to the rich, long orchard and tropical fruit flavors. Finishes very clean and fresh, as well as a little sweet (29 g/L residual sugar and 5.1 g/L total acidity) and tannic; the hint of tannic bite is fairly typical of the Hengst due to its marly soils. Barthelmy likes the 2015 Pinot Gris Furstentum more in 2015, but for me it’s the other way around.” Vinous 91+ Points

Albert Boxler Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg 2015, 0.75L
Riesling from Niedermorschwihr, Alsace

“Boxler's 2015 Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg opens with the discreet charm and aristocratic distinction of a great wine. Very pure, clear, fine and elegant on the nose, with fine stony and herbal flavors but also ripe stone fruit and floral aromas, the 2015 tells the story of its origin in the glass in an excitingly subtle yet deep way. The palate is great! It is intense and juicy, nicely concentrated and ripe, with a touch of sweetness but gorgeous finesse, vitality and piquancy. The finish is pure and salty and develops a fascinating juiciness that explodes in the finish. This is not a wine for mouthfeel drinkers, but it is surely one of the finest, most delicate and balanced Rieslings you can find from this vintage. The combination of concentration, complexity, structure, minerality and sweetness (due to the low acidity, higher alcohol and extract) could hardly be better.” Wine Advocate 95 Points

Albert Boxler Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg Eckberg 2015, 0.75L
Riesling from Niedermorschwihr, Alsace

“The 2015 Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg Eckberg has a clear, fresh, mineral and highly delicate nose with concentrated white stone fruit but also flinty/stony aromas. Lemon flavors are here as well, but they are concentrated as in a chutney or a cake. Rich, lush, intense and beautifully concentrated (seamless) on the palate, with a lingering minerality, this is another gorgeous Riesling from Jean Boxler. Its finish is lean and finessed but also ripe, concentrated, rich, elegant and endlessly salty. There seems to be some sweetness, but the fine tannins, the body, concentration and finesse balance it perfectly. This Eckberg is fine and rich at the same time. A fascinating Riesling!” Wine Advocate 96 Points

Albert Mann Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Steingrubler 2015, 0.75L
Gewurztraminer from Alsace, Alsace

“Very ripe but precise and intense, with classic Gewurz flavors on the nose opens the 2015 Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Steingrubler, a powerful yet vital, precise and elegant wine full of tension and grip. Very stimulating its its purity and tension. The wine finished at 13.% alcohol and 37 grams of residual sugar, but you almost don't taste it!” Wine Advocate 93 Points

“Bright straw. Nuanced bergamot and candied orange peel on the nose, plus hints of cinnamon and white flowers. Bright, dense and pure, offering clean citrus and spicy honey flavors that are impeccably balanced (37 g/L residual sugar and 4.7 g/L total acidity). The finish is long and very precise. The Steingrubler always produces very delicate Gewürzes that lack the depth of the Furstentum, but are also at once refined and dainty - ideal for those who don’t like this variety’s powerful, often opulent personality. Very lovely wine.” Vinous 90+ Points

D. Coquelet Chiroubles 2015, 0.75L
Gamay from Chiroubles, Beaujolais

"The 2015 Chiroubles from Damien Coquelet is a fine, fine follow-up to his beautiful 2014 version. The lovely and sappy nose shows just a whisper of baked fruit elements in its mélange of black cherries, pomegranate, gamebird, violets, lovely soil tones and a topnote of woodsmoke. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and really nicely structured, with a sappy core harnessed behind a bit of tannin, bright acids and outstanding focus and grip on the long and still quite youthful finish. This is an absolutely superb young bottle of Chiroubles that seems to want to be a Morgon this year, as it shows uncanny structure for the long haul and is destined to be an absolutely gorgeous wine with a bit of bottle age. The hint of baked fruit tones meld beautifully into the vibrancy of the wine and really give this high class Chiroubles a bit of 1982 Bordeaux personality. It is approachable today, but I would opt for giving it at least a couple of years in the cellar to more fully blossom, as this is going to be a very uncharacteristically long-lived and epic bottle of Chiroubles." 93+ John Gilman

“Vivid ruby. Pungent red and blue fruit and floral scents are lifted by a zesty mineral note and a hint of white pepper. Palate-staining black raspberry and boysenberry flavors show excellent clarity and a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes sappy, sweet and very long, with subtle earth and floral pastille notes lingering.” Vinous 92 Points

Daniel Bouland Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes Foudre #4 2017, 0.75L
Gamay from Morgon, Beaujolais

"The 2017 Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes (4) is brilliant, unfurling in the glass with notes of wild plums, cherries and cassis, complemented by savory aromas of grilled meat and loamy soil. On the palate, it's full-bodied, deep and layered, with a slightly tauter, more tensile profile than the Corcelette that matured in foudre #7, as well as marginally more concentration. While the differences between the two bottlings aren't sufficient to merit a divergence of scores, #7 is the purist's choice and seemingly the best-adapted to sustained bottle age: it was the bottling I purchased for my own cellar." 94 Points Wine Advocate

Daniel Bouland Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes Foudre #7 2017, 0.75L
Gamay from Morgon, Beaujolais

"The 2017 Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes (7) wafts from the glass with a creamy bouquet of cherries, cassis, dried flowers, dark chocolate, licorice and plums. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and velvety, with juicy acids and fine tannins that are entirely concealed by a deep, layered core of fruit. Concentrated but mouthwatering, it's quintessential Corcelette. There are two separate bottlings this year, numbered respectively as (4) and (7) to designate two different foudres that Bouland opted to distinguish to his clientele for the first time: this note refers to foudre #7, which hails from Tonnellerie Rousseau and represents a more recent addition to the cellar than the older, larger foudre #4." 94 Points Wine Advocate

Domaine Laurent Gauthier Morgon Côte du Py Vieilles Vignes 2015, 0.75L
Gamay from Morgon, Beaujolais

"The 2015 old vine bottling of Morgon “Côte du Py” from Laurent Gauthier is an excellent example of the vintage, with the ripeness of this year quite nicely managed and the wine offering excellent potential for the long haul. The very pure and sappy bouquet offers up scents of black cherries, woodsmoke, chicory, dark soil tones, a bit of pigeon and a lovely topnote of thyme. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and ripely tannic, with a sappy core, excellent soil signature, fine focus and grip and a very long, nascently complex finish. This is excellent and delivers all of the potential of the 2015 vintage, without any of its pitfalls!" 93 John Gilman

P.M. Chermette Domaine du Vissoux Les Garants 2016, 0.75L
Gamay from Fleurie, Beaujolais

"In contrast to the Poncié bottling, the les Garants lieu à dit is located down in the section of Fleurie that borders on Moulin-à-Vent, and like the Coudert’s Clos de la Roilette, was actually once part of Moulin-à-Vent, rather than Fleurie. Monsieur Chermette gives this wine a bit of new oak, which works beautifully with the more structured personality of this cru, as it offers up a fine nose of black cherries, pomegranate, dark soil tones, gamebird, espresso and a touch of oak spice. On the palate the wine is deep, pure, full and potentially sappy at the core, with fine-grained tannins, excellent focus and grip and a very long, poised and nascently complex finish." 94 John Gilman

Beaumont 2014, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Petit Verdot from Haut Médoc, Bordeaux

“The vineyard is in the heart of the Haut-Médoc, midway between Margaux and Saint-Julien. The wine is solid, dark and with plenty of firm tannins. At the same time, it has concentrated black fruits and a fine blend between black-currant acidity and ripe jammy fruitiness.” Wine Enthusiast 92 Points

“A tight and alluring red with spice, chocolate and berry character. Full-bodied yet tight and composed. Beautiful length and balance. Give it time to show you what it has.” James Suckling 94 Points

“The wine from this estate perched high above Château Angélus is tight and mineral. While the dark dense tannins are to the fore, it also has great fruits. The acidity and the crisp texture give the wine both its intensity and its potential.” Wine Enthusiast 93 Points

“Ripe and fleshy, with a direct beam of raspberry and black currant confiture framed by a solid graphite edge. Lots of tobacco and licorice snap details hang in the background. Should age well.” Wine Spectator 92 Points

“The 2014 Bellevue is dark, plush and inviting. Black cherry, espresso, smoke, licorice, tobacco and bittersweet chocolate notes give the wine its distinctly modern, sumptuous feel. Clos Saint-Andre 2015, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Cabernet Sauvignon from Pomerol, Bordeaux

"The 2015 Clos Saint-André (which some readers might recognize from the chapter in my Pomerol book) is a minuscule Pomerol grower close to Montviel. It has a generous bouquet of crushed strawberry and raspberry preserve aromas . . . clean and pure, and not overwhelmed by the 100% new oak. Clos du Marquis 2006, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Petit Verdot from St. Julien, Bordeaux

“Offers violet and blackberry on the nose, with tar. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a fruity, minerally aftertaste. Long and silky. Very serious for the vintage.” Wine Spectator 92 Points

“A beautifully perfumed, dark-colored wine, bursting with black plums and violet perfumes. It is, on the surface, delicious, but taste beneath that and it becomes complex and dark, with immense but velvet tannins, suggesting considerable potential.” Wine Enthusiast 91 Points

“Bright, full ruby-red. Ripe aromas of blackberry, kirsch, cedar and sexy oak. Rich, broad and pliant, with chewy, vibrant flavors of black fruits and licorice. This boasts excellent texture and depth for a second wine. Finishes with substantial dusty, fine tannins and excellent length. A serious and full vintage for Clos du Marquis, but less forbidding now that it's in bottle than a sample I tried from barrel last spring.” Vinous 90 Points

Desmirail 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot from Margaux, Bordeaux

"The 2015 Desmirail has a nicely detailed bouquet with blackberry, briary and iris aromas, gaining intensity in the glass, a Margaux with commendable presence. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin. This is saline in the mouth, quite brine-like towards the finish but I appreciate the length and persistence here. This fulfils the promise that it showed out of barrel and constitutes one of the longer-term Margaux wines. Tasted at the Oenoconseil tasting room in Bordeaux." Vinous 91 Points

Le Petit Haut Lafitte Rouge 2015, 0.75L

"Beautiful aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries and dark chocolate. Some hot stones. Full-bodied, dense and chewy yet polished and juicy. Shows pretty length and density. Very clean and focused. Precise." James Suckling 94 Points

"The 2015 Le Petit Haut Lafitte is another terrific wine from Smith Haut Lafitte. Here, Cabernet Sauvignon speaks with authority. Black cherry, leather, earth, licorice and grilled herbs are all laced together, but it is the wine's pure power and structure that stand out most. Readers should plan on cellaring the 2015 for at least a few years, as it is far from an easygoing second wine." Vinous 92+ Points

"Composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot coming from the younger vines of Smith Haut Lafitte, the 2015 Le Petit Haut Lafitte sports a medium garnet-purple color and an alluring crushed red currants, black cherries and spice box-laced nose with touches of cloves and lavender. Medium to full-bodied with wonderful generosity and plenty of spice, the open-for-business flavors are well-supported by plush tannins, and it finishes with a peppery lift." Wine Advocate 90 Points

Marojallia 2012, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot from Margaux, Bordeaux

ON SALE! Original Price: $53.99

“This is a spicy, fruity wine that has excellent acidity and a rounded, fruity character. It has some extraction, giving a bitter edge, while the final effect is a rich, juicy Merlot.” Wine Enthusiast 92-94 Points

“Another brilliant example from Murielle Andraud and her partner Jean-Luc Thunevin, the intense 2012 Marojallia (a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) displays an opaque purple color and a beautiful nose of charcoal, graphite, blueberry and blackberry fruit. Some toasty oak is present, but the sweetness of the tannins, the multi-dimensional mouthfeel, and terrific length and intensity make this one of the great stars of 2012.” Robert Parker 93+ Points

“The 2012 Marojallia is powerful and explosive in the glass. A rush of dark red fruit hits the palate first, followed by white pepper, herbs, licorice and mint nuances that add shades of dimension. Marojallia is one of the most powerful, dark wines of Margaux. It is also one of the most distinctive. Readers should plan on cellaring the 2012 for at least a few years. The intensity and resonance here simply add to the wine's considerable appeal. The style is unabashedly ripe and flamboyant, but it all works.” Vinous 93 Points

“Refined texture, dry but not drying. Not especially generous in fruit but there's finesse here and subtlety and fine Cabernet fragrance, a little leafy and very fresh.” Jancis Robinson 17 Points

Soft entry on the palate, very fruity, rounded and savory, developed, medium to full-bodied. Moulin Saint-Georges 2012, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc from St. Emilion, Bordeaux

"The Moulin St Georges is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc that was picked on the 11th and 12th October respectively . . . . . The nose is floral and generous with hints of fruitcake infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe, rounded entry. It is silky smooth and there is beautiful delineation and poise towards the finish as one often founds with this often under-estimated Saint-Emilion. Wonderful tension here, mainly thank to the 3.55pH – great persistency. Tasted April 2013." 92-94 Neal Martin

"The 2012 Moulin Saint-Georges is plump, juicy and forward, all of which make it a terrific choice for drinking over the next handful of years. Violets, lavender, spices and blue-fleshed fruits abound. Supple and sensual, with silky tannins and terrific overall balance, the 2012 is showing very well today. Although not the last word in complexity, Moulin Saint-Georges is quite delicious." Vinous 90 Points

Palmer 2016, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc from Margaux, Bordeaux

Pre-Arrival

“"Technical Director Thomas Duroux and his team made one of the most brilliant wines of the 2016 vintage. Palmer is simply exceptional. Rich and dramatically sweeping in the glass, the 2016 is breathtaking. All the elements simply fall into place in a wine of mesmerizing beauty. The counterpoint of dark, sumptuous fruit and floral notes makes for an utterly compelling Palmer that will take its place among the estate's finest vintages. Dark cherry, lavender, spice and mocha are some of the many notes that build into a deep, substantial finish that is truly unforgettable. In a word: magnificent!"” Vinous 100 Points

“I wrote that the 2015 was incredible, and this 2016 is again. It’s equally structured and powerful as the 2015, yet there’s an underlying intellectual serenity to this wine. You taste it, and you want to know and experience it even more. Full and tannic yet ever so polished and beautiful. Mesmerizing. Made from biodynamically grown grapes.” James Suckling 99-100 Points

“Potentially an 100-point wine, this is beautifully ripe and rich, with sweet tannins as well as opulent black fruit tones. A higher than usual proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend gives the wine its density, sophistication and great sense of presence.” Wine Enthusiast 98-100 Points

“The grand vin represents 65% of production in 2016, the highest ever. It has many similarities in style with the 2001 and 1986, being a classically styled wine full of soft slate, fern, liquorice and cassis, but from the modern era where you can achieve so much more precision. This is a wine that makes you smile from the first sip, and keeps on getting better, caressing you gently across the palate. There is never any let up through the mid-palate, and the biodynamics that have been practised here for the past few years are clearly paying off. Elegant, utterly silky and precise, the structure is just effortless with reasonably fresh alcohols that are the result of late ripening. A perfect example of the appellation, it has the florality, density and slow tannic pace that means it takes you right along with it as the flavours build. Intellectual without being overbearing, and built to age. This is impressive stuff.” Decanter 98 Points

“The 2016 Palmer is a blend of 47% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot cropped at 29 hectoliters per hectare between 3 and 18 October. Matured in 65% new oak (my sample coming from a used barrel), the bouquet is perhaps not quite as intense as some of its peers and takes time to click into fifth gear. Eventually it offers tightly wound blackberry, briary and mineral scents; it is very focused, but maybe less extrovert and more classic in style compared to recent vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with a gentle grip on the entry, quite firm in the mouth with slightly tarry black fruit, hints of black truffle developing towards the finish that feels masculine and linear. It has very impressive length, completing what is an intellectual Palmer, one that I suspect will really blossom in bottle.” Wine Advocate 95-97 Points

“Very dark, velvety look - really bright. Complex and energetic. Not simple and sweet but quite a step change. Feels a little transitional because it's so different and more energetic than the old style. 65% new oak, as always, but the wine can absorb it better. Some bitter chocolate. Lots of sweetness. Energy and freshness.” Jancis Robinson 17.5+ Points

Lemon peel, white flowers, crushed rocks, mint and a hint of reduction develop in the glass, but it is the wine's energy that is most alluring. The intensely saline, nuanced finish only reinforces the impression of translucent purity. Readers who own the 2015 are going to be thrilled, as it is a truly magical wine." 96 Points Antonio Galloni

Petit Guiraud 2013, 0.375L
Sémillon / Sauvignon Blanc from Sauternes, Bordeaux

“Excellent energy on the nose. Not that sweet but with great energy. This could be drunk with savoury foods. Attractive toastiness. Really revitalising.” Jancis Robinson

“With a significant proportion of sauvignon (35%), just as itselder brother, Petit Guiraud stands out by its delicacy and itsairy sugar content. From the scent to the taste, Petit Guiraud 2013 immediately succeeds in seducing us by the freshness ofits fruit: grapefruit, passion fruit, pineapple… Thanks to a veryrigorous plot selection, Petit Guiraud expresses somethingdifferent of the Château Guiraud’s terroir. The wine is floraland feminine, very tasty and light!” - Xavier Planty

"This has an air of authority with pristine red fruits, cassis and leafy aromas that lead to a palate with a powerful core of fine, long and fresh tannins. Plenty of ageing potential here." James Suckling 94 Points

"This spicy wine shows how far the estate has moved from its over-use of new wood. In this bottling, the wood is subtle and doesn't mask the rich fruit and the juicy acidity. It still has the structure of a Saint-Estèphe while keeping everything in good balance. " Wine Enthusiast 93 Points

Potensac 2014, 1.5L
Merlot / Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot from Médoc, Bordeaux

ON SALE! Original Price: $47.99

“It’s been a while since I had a Potensac like this. Aromatic, very structured and polished with currant character and wonderful length. Polished tannins. Exceptionally small production for this year.” James Suckling 91-92 Points

“With low yields after a hail storm, the wine is concentrated and dense. It has a touch of wood aging as well as dark black fruits. The tannins are firm in a wine that will age well over the medium term.” Wine Enthusiast 90 Points

“The 2014 Potensac offers striking intensity to match its bold, inviting personality. Blue and black stone fruit, grilled herbs, licorice and dark spices make a strong first impression. The Delon family makes a number of top-notch wines, and Potensac is arguably the hidden jewel in the range. Drink this exuberant Médoc over the next handful of years. The blend is 40% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.” Vinous 90 Points

Potensac 2015, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot from Médoc, Bordeaux

"A clarity and transparency to this pretty red with currant, lemon-peel and lemon-grass character. Full body, very fine tannins and a pretty texture. Precise wine." James Suckling 92 Points

"The 2015 Potensac is just as beautiful from bottle as it was from barrel. Dark, succulent and super-expressive, the 2015 is a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. It does not have the aromatic expansiveness or body of the very best years, but in exchange, it will drink well pretty much upon release." Vinous 90 Points

"Pepper, savory and bay leaf notes lead the way, with a core of medium-weight cassis and cherry flavors. A tobacco hint and chalky minerality extend the finish, which has a pleasant austerity. A touch reticent in style, but will age well." Wine Spectator 90 Points

"While this wine has plenty of ripe tannins, the delicious blackberry fruit speaks loudest. Ripe, full and with a fine line of acidity, it is gently structured and likely to age well." Wine Enthusiast 90 Points

Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc 2006, 0.75L
Sauvignon Blanc / Sauvignon Vert from Pessac Leognan, Bordeaux

The wine now shows gorgeous guava and mango character with hints of pineapple and a creamy undertone. It has layers of fruit that change all the time on the palate. d'Yquem 2007, 0.375L
Sémillon / Sauvignon Blanc from Sauternes, Bordeaux

“Tasted single blind against its peers. Under blind conditions, the Yquem 2007 shines like a diamond. Nevertheless, it is initially rather taciturn on the nose, eventually opening up beautifully with touches of lemon curd, Mirabelle, and clear honey. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine definition and there seems to be a great deal of energy and vigor dispensed for your pleasure. There is such race and nervosity, and then that finish just purrs with harmony and focus. This Yquem feels just so alive and vivacious, yet there is an effortless quality here that is unmatched by its peers.” Wine Advocate 98 Points #199 Dec 2011

“Pale gold. Knockout nose of mirabelle, pineapple, spices and honey. Dense and thick but with racy acidity leavening the wine's liqueur-like flavors of peach, apricot and pineapple and imbuing it with superb energy. With aeration, this showed captivating notes of vanilla, toast and fresh and exotic herbs, plus a saline aspect on the very long finish. Still an infant, but already boasts terrific cut and purity of fruit. Director Pierre Lurton was thrilled to have a large quantity of wine at this high level of quality.” Vinous 95-98 Points

“Intense, with a wide range of maple, hazelnut-singed piecrust and apple crumble notes, all offset beautifully by a taut orange zest accent that imparts tension and length to balance the broad, rich core. Ends with a viscous feel and lingering energy.” Wine Spectator 96 Points

“Medium gold, already quite evolved. Heady stone fruits and honey on the nose, with generous fruit. Very sweet and succulent but there's fine acidity to balance the palate, which has beguiling sweetness. Very long, with a minty finish, but a tad evolved for a young Yquem.” Decanter 96 Points

d'Yquem 2010, 0.375L
Sémillon / Sauvignon Blanc from Sauternes, Bordeaux

"The 2010 Château d’Yquem is an utterly stunning young wine and a very worthy follow-up to the magical wine produced at this estate in 2009. The bouquet is deep, complex and flat out brilliant, as it soars from the glass in a celestial mélange of pineapple, tangerines, a touch of passion fruit, honeycomb, beautifully complex and chalky soil tones, spring flowers and a very gentle touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, suave and utterly seamless, with great mid-palate depth, bright acids and surreal length and grip on the dancing and very intensely flavored finish. The 2010 d’Yquem is not quite as ethereally complex at this stage as the hauntingly beautiful 2009, but in terms of sheer quality, it seems likely to be every bit as profound." John Gilman 98+ Points

“Stunningly rich in character, a wine with great power to go with its acidity and sweetness. It is dense, powerful and concentrated powered by honey and by spice from the wood. The finish has dried apricots, very aromatic.” Wine Enthusiast 96-98 Points

“Deep yellow with a golden tinge. Intense aromas of very ripe tropical fruit, beeswax, honey and raisin are lifted by a strong mineral edge. Very fresh, rich and sweet on entry, then extremely light on its feet, with refined flavors of ripe citrus, mango, papaya, honey and saffron complicated by tangy botrytis. A very bright and focused Yquem, with lively acidity and a long, smooth, floral finish. Boasts impeccable balance and lovely precision. This terrific Yquem is very stylish but less massively opulent than vintages like 1989 and 1983.” Vinous 95-98 Points

“Rather restrained now, showing terrific purity and precision, with dried pineapple, persimmon and mango notes, offset by racy honeysuckle, white peach and chamomile hints. The extremely long finish sails on, switching to yet another spectrum, with green almond, green plum and coconut accents. A thread of quinine stitches this up at the very end.” Wine Spectator 96 Points

“This is a super balanced and racy Yquem with nuts. light pineapple and apple character. Full and dense but bright and fresh. Love the spicy botrytis with light apple tart and nuts on the finish…” James Suckling 94-95 Points

d'Yquem 2013, 0.75L
Sémillon / Sauvignon Blanc from Sauternes, Bordeaux

*This bottle has wine stained label

“Bright aromas of sliced mangoes, papaya, botrytis, and lemon follow through to a full body. Medium sweet with a phenolic palate that gives the wine structure and beauty. Electric acidity and freshness combined with impressive energy and length. A strict selection was made. 40% of the production was destined to the grand vin. About 80,000 bottles made. This is 70% semillion and 30% sauvignon blanc.” James Suckling 98 Points

“Lightly toasted marshmallow and macadamia nut aromas lead the way, followed by incredibly juicy mirabelle plum, green fig, and glazed pear and peach flavors. As big as this is, there are still plenty of honeysuckle, quinine and chamomile notes kicking the finish into yet another gear. This has purity and length to burn, with decades more to go.” Wine Spectator 98 Points

“Firstly, you notice the color, which is a touch deeper than recent vintages at this stage. The bouquet is quite honeyed and rich for Yquem at this early juncture, with subtle scents of peach skin, white flowers, and a puff of chalk and frangipane. The palate is viscous on the entry, all about the texture at first, coating the mouth with luscious botrytized fruit. There are touches of Seville orange marmalade, fresh apricot, a hint of spice and passion fruit. This is imbued with impressive depth and weight, perhaps an Yquem that is determined to make an impression after last year-s absence. It might not possess the finesse of a top flight Yquem, but it has immense power and persistency.” Wine Advocate 95-97 Points

de La Dauphine 2015, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc from Fronsac, Bordeaux

“Very pretty aromas of perfume, currants and orange peel follow through to a full body, round and chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Solid and structured.” James Suckling 92 Points

“Offers an enticing core of plum, black currant and raspberry paste flavors that are mixed with light charcoal, licorice and singed alder notes. This has energy to match its range through the finish. Merlot and Cabernet Franc.” Wine Spectator 91 Points

“The 2015 La Dauphine is potent, but also remains relatively light on its feet next to other Fronsacs in this vintage. Inky red/purplish fruit, floral notes and spice are among the signatures. Sweet floral notes and silky, polished tannins add to an impression of finesse. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.” Vinous 90 Points

Arlaud Clos de la Roche 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Morey St. Denis, Burgundy

“Medium red. Aromas of strawberry, raspberry, flowers and spices. Juicy on entry, then suave and light on its feet in the middle, with dense red berry flavors accented by white pepper, mint and flowers. This is a live wire in the mouth but it's also seamless and refined. The very subtle, slowly mounting finish displays a touch of medicinal bitterness that stimulates the salivary glands. Arlaud noted that his grand cru vineyards yielded 30 to 32 hectoliters per hectare in 2015, which he described as good for a dry year and "better balanced as a result." The berries were small in 2015 but not nearly as tiny as those in 2003, when the same vineyards produced barely 20 hectoliters per hectare.” Vinous 93-95 Points

“The 2015 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has an expressive bouquet with vibrant raspberry and wild strawberry scents, a touch of gravel and granite developing with continued aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a candied opening, plenty of blood orange and even tangerine permeating the black fruit with a sweet, opulent finish that would benefit from just a tad more restraint. Good potential though and there seems to be a budding sense of joie de vivre.” Wine Advocate 92-94 Points

“Reduction flattens the nose. Otherwise there is excellent punch to the bigger, richer and more muscular flavors that possess a supple mid-palate thanks to the abundance of tannin-buffering dry extract that also coats the mouth on the focused, serious and slightly austere finish. This too is going to require a certain amount of patience.” Allen Meadows - Burghound 91-94 Points

Bitouzet Prieur Volnay Pitures 2014, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Volnay, Burgundy

"Dark, bright red. Medicinal black cherry on the reticent nose. Concentrated and very primary, conveying a strong impression of energy to the flavors of black cherry, raspberry, licorice and menthol. Very pulpy wine, like chewing on grapes. A powerful rather than elegant style of Volnay (this fruit was picked at a high 13% potential alcohol), with the very long finish showing a firm tannic spine that Bitouzet says is typical of this wine. Very impressive for the year and built for a slow evolution in bottle." Vinous 92+ Points

Broad, rich, saline wine in a rather masculine style; less silky than the Caillerets, with its currant fruit edged by spices and pepper. Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay Les Taillepieds 2014, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Volnay, Burgundy

"Medium red, with a hint of development. Expressive scents of red cherry, redcurrant and cinnamon spice. A step up in volume and palate presence from the juicy, penetrating, stony Les Aussy (rated 89 last year and again this fall), conveying a silky texture to its cherry tart and spice flavors. Spreads out horizontally to coat the mouth on the classically dry, fine-grained finish, which features suave tannins and subtle flavor intensity. This wine starts off with serious punch and finishes with finesse." Vinous 91 Points

"COMMENTARY: I may be unrelenting in beating this drum, but Burgundy isn't always overpriced. The 2016 Les Tourelles de la Crée Montagny Premier Cru is an excellent Chardonnay at this price point surpassing many New World efforts. Comtesse de Chérisey Puligny-Montrachet Hameau de Blagny 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy

"The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Hameau de Blagny was too reduced on the nose for me to read this barrel sample. The palate is much more indicative of where this wine is going to go: tensile from the start, steely with vibrant acidity. This demonstrates fine weight in the mouth, a keen line of acidity, a dash of spice on the tight-wound finish that will clearly require 4-5 years to really find its groove, which it will." 90-92 Points Wine Advocate

"The 2005 Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet is more complex than the Vaillon, unfurling with complex aromas of honeycomb, mandarin oil, fresh mushroom, almond paste and oyster shell. Domaine Cheveau Mâcon-Davayé Les Belouzes 2017, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Mâcon-Davayé, Burgundy

"Made from a 1-hectare parcel in Davayé, right on the border with Pouilly.  Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks and left to age on the fine lees for 8 months. Planted in 2011, the vines are quite young, which is evident by this wine’s lively and relaxed personality.  Still, there is a profound mineral streak in this wine that should only grow more profound as these vines age over the next decades.  We receive a mere 100 cases of this cuvee each year." Importer Notes, Rosenthal Wine Merchant

Domaine Méo-Camuzet Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Murgers 2015, 0.75L

"The 2015 Murgers chez Méo is one of the ripest premier crus in the cellar this year, coming at a full 13.9 percent octane, but it shows absolutely no signs of sur maturité on either the nose or the palate. The bouquet is pure, complex and flamboyant, as it offers up scents of sappy black cherries and dark berries, espresso, dark soil tones, woodsmoke, gamebird and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with fine-grained tannins, superb focus and grip and a very, very long, vibrant and utterly refined finish. Francine et Olivier Savary Chablis Selection Vieilles Vignes 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy

"In Maligny, a village well-poised between Paris and Dijon, just north of Chablis, Olivier Savary and his wife, Francine, have been vignerons since 1984. Though many of Olivier’s family members were vignerons, an unfortunate series of challenging harvests discouraged his parents from joining the family business. Chardonnay runs strongly through his veins, however, and Olivier pursued wine school in Dijon regardless of the fact that he would have no vines of his own. Olivier and Francine arranged to farm some vineyard land en métayage (share cropping) in the Chablis and Petit Chablis appellations. With his father at his side to farm the complex network of vineyards, Olivier initially sold off the majority of his production in bulk to a négociant. Emboldened by their years of combined experience and family history of winemaking, Francine and Olivier finally found their wings and began bottling under their own label. In 1990, Olivier's longtime friend and Chablis legend Jean-Marie Raveneau introduced Olivier to Kermit. Today, Francine and Olivier are joined by their sons, Maxime and Mathieu, whose ambition and young energy ensures a bright future for the domaine." Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant

"It is unfortunate that the yields are so far down here this year, as this is a simply brilliant bottle of young Clos Vougeot! The complex bouquet is deep, pure, sappy and almost musky in its constellation of cherries, red and black raspberries, violets, raw cocoa, gorgeous soil tones, gamebird and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and very elegant in profile this year, with a sappy core, fine transparency, marvelous complexity and focus, fine-grained tannins and a very, very long, very elegant and promising finish. Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc Les Macherelles 2015, 0.75L

In a more dry, linear, classic style, this premier cru finishes with a touch of youthful bitterness and needs some time in bottle. Riper stone fruit notes emerged with aeration.” Vinous 92 Points

“Moderate reduction presently dominates but there is good freshness and vivacity to the attractively intense and reasonably well-detailed flavors that possess solid levels of sappy dry extract while delivering fine persistence. This will need a few years to further develop depth but the underlying material is present to facilitate that transformation.” 89-92 Points Allen Meadows

Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy

“Bright pale yellow. Deeply pitched aromas of yellow peach and white pepper show a slightly candied quality but also very good lift. Plush, peppery and broad; quite dry and mineral-driven but not austere. Very horizontal in the mouth. Finishes classically dry and energetic, with terrific mineral persistence.” Vinous 91-93 Points

“A pungent nose combines notes of resin, various white orchard fruit and floral aromas that are trimmed in hints of wood and matchstick. The succulent and seductively textured medium weight flavors also possess plenty of dry extract, all wrapped in a citrus-tinged finish that offers a bit more depth and length. Worth a look.” Burghound 90-92 Points

"More restrained aromas features notes of petrol, anise, tea and citrus peel. In contrast to the racy flavors of the Macherelles here the dense flavors are super-rich thanks to the abundance of dry extract that also buffers the firm acid spine on the robust, indeed even slightly rustic finish that flashes excellent complexity. Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers Clos Saint-Marc 2016, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy

"Pale, bright yellow. Incredibly sappy aromas of lemon, lime, white peach, orange zest and crushed stone, accented by a note of rhubarb. At once powerful, densely packed and refined, conveying outstanding inner-mouth energy and precision without any impression of weight. Not a monster of opulence; in fact, the dominant impression here is of penetration and thrust, with the citrus and mineral flavors showing lovely purity and floral lift and building inexorably on the long aftertaste. As Pillot often says, this wine is barely at the starting block today. Its 2017 sibling may be fleshier but this wonderfully pure wine is actually a bit higher in octane (13.1%, vs. 12.9%). This is the first vintage that includes the young vines that Pillot replanted in 2003; the other half of the vines in this clos are 100 years old." 94 Points Stephen Tanzer

“This is the first wine to display any material wood influence though I stress that it's quite subtle and easily allows the overtly pepper and earth-inflected aromas of dark currant, plum and humus to be appreciated. There is more size, weight and power if a bit less refinement to the medium-bodied flavors where the supporting tannic spine is slightly firmer on the delicious and more complex finale. The palate is beautiful: fine tannins, layers of dark cherry, black plum fruit with an almost confit-like finish that has wonderful definition and superb length. Rollin Savigny-Les-Beaune Aux Grands Liards 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Savigny-lès-Beaune, Burgundy

"This wine is the newest addition to the Rollin domaine. The first vintage produced was in the 2007 vintage. The vineyard is situated midway between the villages of Pernand Vergelesses and Savigny-les-Beaune as one moves in a southwesterly direction from Pernand. The first wines produced by the Rollin family from this vineyard show the wine to be surprisingly firm and structured with a density rare to find in the Savigny appellation. Again, an instance where we bottle a few magnums each year based upon our belief that this wine has significant capacity to grow as it ages. This small holding permits us the privilege of purchasing slightly more than a single barrel per year (300 bottles plus some magnums)." Rosenthal Wine Merchant

Chardonnay from Meursault, Burgundy

"Pale, green-tinged yellow. Aromas of candied lime blossom, lemon and flowers. Concentrated, ripe and sweet, with its almost glyceral mouth feel nicely leavened by limey lift. Jobard noted that his 2015s finished with about 2.5 grams per liter residual sugar, which he said was higher than usual, and that the added sweetness gives the wines a creamy, unctuous character. This one is a bit youthfully aggressive but impressively tactile, finishing with a light phenolic edge and some emerging minerality. Am I underrating this?" Vinous 91 Points

Samuel Billaud Chablis Bougros 2015, 1.5L
Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy

"The 2015 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros has a splendid bouquet . . . . There is real delineation and poise here, with walnut and smoke emerging with time and struck flint emerging later. The palate is well defined with a fine bead of acidity (although the acidity level is lower than in Blanchot). Touches of blackcurrant leaf and quince dovetail into a very energetic finish that lingers for over a minute. Superb . . . . Through his contacts, there is also an expansion of his portfolio so that from the 2015 vintage he now has a full complement of six grand crus to his name. I asked Samuel about the 2016 vintage. “The average yield was between 15 and 30 hectoliters per hectare, around half the normal production . . . . This was a fantastic set of wines from Billaud  . . . . One can speculate whether he would have been able to achieve such quality had he still vinified the wines in the temporary facility he occupied beforehand—I think not. That should take nothing away from a skilled and experienced winemaker whose approach I think is spot on, in particular his assiduous use of used barrels that do not impede upon the terroir expression and a judicious use of reduction that lends complexity without dictating the taste. The 2015s and 2016s might have been born under trying circumstances, but with the new winery up and running, who knows what brilliant wines lie around the corner." 93 Points Wine Advocate

Samuel Billaud Chablis Mont de Milieu 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy

"The 2015 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu was matured in 20% barrel and 80% stainless steel for 18 months. It has a clean and precise bouquet that needs more coaxing than the more forward Les Fourneaux, with touches of hazelnut and smoke emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with an attacking entry, malic in the mouth and with a very saline finish. This is a straight-down-the-line classic Chablis that is perhaps more 2014 in style than 2015. This is nothing short of excellent." 92 Points Wine Advocate

Samuel Billaud Chablis Mont de Milieu 2016, 1.5L
Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy

"The 2016 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru was harvested between 25 and 30hl/ha, with 20% aged in wood the rest in stainless steel for 18 months. The slightly longer élevage engenders a more complex bouquet than the Montée de Tonnerre with yellow fruit, green apple, chalk and light musky scents that are very well defined. The palate is very well delineated with a crisp bead of acidity, poised and saline in the mouth and just when you think it will fan out, it segues into a linear and classically lined, understated finish. "The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeots Les Fairendes is a little straight-laced following on from the Chenevottes and perhaps does not quite deliver the same tension and mineralité. The palate is well balanced with good weight in the mouth, leaning slightly towards the nuttiness of a Meursault, and displaying convincing vigour if not life-affirming complexity on the "correct" finish. Y. Clerget Volnay Clos du Verseuil 2016, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Volnay, Burgundy

"Bright red-ruby. Musky, complex soil tones along with black cherry and mocha on the nose. Quite suave and silky on entry, conveying a relaxed quality (production here was 42 hectoliters per hectare) but no shortage of concentration. In fact, this is a wonderfully classy, supple wine with sexy sweetness and rocky energy (the mother rock is close to the surface here). Soil and spice notes add flavor interest. Consistent from start to finish, this quintessential, refined Volnay spreads out on the back end to saturate the mouth, with its tannins fully buffered by fruit." Vinous 92-94 Points

"Much more discreet, if not invisible, wood sets off pure, cool and restrained aromas of red currant, raspberry and soft floral wisps. There is really lovely vibrancy to the detailed, sleek and refined medium weight flavors that brim with both minerality and dry extract that serves to buffer the distinctly firm tannic spine shaping the lingering and beautifully balanced finale. Y. Clerget Volnay Les Caillerets 2016, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Volnay, Burgundy

"Bright, dark red; not quite as ruby as the Clos du Verseuil. A slightly high-toned aroma of kirsch is quite primary and even a bit inky. Juicy and intensely flavored, showing terrific definition but also a distinct thickness of texture, no doubt partly due to the high percentage of millerandage in these vines (production was barely 20 hectoliters per hectare). Currently showing more fruit than soil in the middle palate but the very long finish reveals subtle earth tones. A wonderfully seamless wine with suave tannins and an exhilarating light touch." 92-94 Points Vinous

"There is an overt spiciness to the even more restrained nose that blends notes of both red and dark cherry, plum, violet, lavender and a whiff of warm earth. The sleek, intense and chiseled middle weight flavors flash ample minerality before terminating in a youthfully austere and wonderfully persistent finish that, like the Clos du Verseuil, is impeccably well-balance" 91-94 Points Burghound

"A more deeply pitched array is composed mostly of plum liqueur, dark cherry and notably more earth influence. There is also more volume and muscle though less refinement to the medium-bodied flavors that deliver excellent length on the focused and sneaky long finale." Burghound 90-93 Points

"Bright red-ruby. Very ripe aromas of black raspberry, flowers and earth show a bit less lift than those of the Carelle Sous La Chapelle. In a rather closed phase today; chunkier, drier and less elegant than the Carelle but still finer-grained than its 2015 sibling, offering flavors of dark berries, medicinal cherry stomp and licorice. Here the serious dusty tannins arrive early, saturating the front teeth and incisors. Finishes with a suggestion of menthol reserve." Vinous 90-91 Points

Bollinger R.D. 2004, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Champagne, Champagne

*Champagne of the Year* -"Time has graced this wine, proving the value of Bollinger’s policy of long aging on the lees followed by prompt release after disgorgement. This RD (Recently Disgorged) 2004 is a joyous wine, staunch, cold and powerful at first, transforming to fresh fruit shadowed by darker tones of barrel fermentation. As it opens in the glass, revealing racy energy, a range of floral pear and apple flavors emerge, resonant with a sense of limestone capturing the sun and reflecting it back in pale power. Enjoy this over the course of an evening as its presence shifts, providing varied perspectives on a great Champagne." 98 Points Wine & Spirits

"Fermented in oak barrels and aged under natural corks for almost 13 years, Bollinger's 2004 R. D. Extra Brut blends 66% Pinot Noir with 34% Chardonnay from 16 crus, 88% of which are classified as Grand Cru. The wine opens with a very clear, deep, rich and aromatic but also pure and mineral-fresh nose of crushed rocks, cherries, brioche, pain aux raisin, white nougat, chalk and ripe, yellow-fleshed fruits. Highly elegant and complex on the weightless yet persistent and salty palate, this is an intense, densely woven, firmly structured yet elegant, beautifully refined and refreshing "recent disgorgement" (February 2018) that reveals just a kiss of oxidative flavors that adds even more complexity. A great Champagne on its way to improve over many years in the bottle. Tasted June 2018." 97 Points Robert Parker

"Cristal is a cuvée made with grapes from the Grands Crus of Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Cotes des Blancs with the wine sitting on the lees for around six years before aging for eight months in the bottle after it was disgorged, with a dosage of 8g/l. In the glass the wine has a luminous golden color and an intense and fresh aroma from the fullness of the fruit with notes of citrus, ripe passion fruit, star anise and gooseberry, followed by a gourmandize sensation of hazelnut butter and toasted barley with a saline hint that will return in the flavor but which in the nose is a cloud of chalk. The mouthfeel has volume and tension, scenic presence and pure freshness, a giant step that animates the dynamic depth and wins you over with its energy that does not fade for a long time." 97 Points Danieli Cernilli

Moet & Chandon Dom Pérignon Brut 2003, 0.75L
Chardonnay / Pinot Noir from Champagne, Champagne

"The whole is greater than the sum of the parts in this harmonious version. A delicate bead caresses the mouth, while flavors of currant pâte de fruit, dried apricot, pastry and pickled ginger expand on the palate. Subtly floral, with a fine frame of acidity driving this to the mouthwatering finish of smoky mineral and dried fruit." 95 Points Wine Spectator

Moët & Chandon Dom Pérignon Brut 2009, 0.75L
Chardonnay / Pinot Noir / Pinot Meunier from Champagne, Champagne

"This is a DP that shows the ripeness of the 2009 vintage yet remains full of energy. Gorgeous aromas of cream, apple, mango, honeysuckle, and chalk follow through to a full body and super fine, tight texture. Dense and agile. Vinous. It’s like a top grand cru white Burgundy. Think Bâtard-Montrachet. More depth than the 2006." 97 Points James Suckling

Philipponnat Royale Réserve Brut NV, 0.75L
Pinot Noir / Chardonnay / Pinot Meunier from Champagne, Champagne

"Based 70% on the 2013 vintage plus 30% oaked reserve wines, the NV Royale Réserve Brut blends 65% Pinot Noir with 30% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Meunier. The recent release was disgorged as Brut (with eight grams per liter of dosage) in July 2017 and opens with a clear and very delicate bouquet of red fruits (raspberries). The palate is light and finessed yet structured and finishes with good minerality and length. This is delicious. Tasted at the domaine in April 2018." 90 Points Wine Advocate

Rene Geoffroy Expression Brut NV, 0.75L
Pinot Noir / Chardonnay / Pinot Meunier from Champagne, Champagne

"Geoffroy's NV Brut Premier Cru Expression is totally alive in the glass. Vibrant and delineated, the Expression bursts from glass with dried pears, flowers, almonds and Chamomile. A blend of 47% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir and 13% Chardonnay, the Expression is all about texture and volume from the red grapes, which give tons of richness without detracting from the wine's essential energy, tension and pure drive. A crystalline, layered finish rounds things out beautifully. This is a great showing from a wine loaded with class." 92 Points Antonio Galloni
