Bodega Chacra Pinot Noir Barda 2017, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Río Negro, Patagonia

"A bright and dense red with vivid lemon character, blueberries and stone. A firm and silky tannin structure. Full-bodied, but remains agile and energetic. This is half the normal production due to a short crop. 65% cement and the rest aged in used oak. Needs a year or two to come around but a beauty already." 94 Points James Suckling

"COMMENTARY: Pink and pleasant, isn't that a good thing? The Dark Horse Brut Rosé is fresh, fruity, and mildly sweet. TASTING NOTES: This wine is active on the palate and delicious in its flavors. Its fruity aromas and flavors coupled with its delicate medium sweet sugar on the palate should pair it well with unagi and rice." 89 Points Wilfred Wong

Tap 357 Maple Rye Whisky NV, 0.75L
Whiskey from Canada, Canada

"This maple-syrup-flavored whisky is sure to please anyone with a sweet tooth. The base is a small-batch blend of 3- 5- and 7-year-old Canadian rye whiskies, lending backbone to the big maple and vanilla flavors, with a touch of peach and clove on the finish. Good for sipping over ice or mixing, as in Tap 357's suggested cocktail, The Montreal––a riff on the Manhattan." 92 Points Wine Enthusiast

Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin NV, 0.75L

"Sweet, mild, clean fragrance of lemon, juniper and licorice. This is a complex gin; more flavors can be detected with each sip: cinnamon spice, astringent pine needles, a touch of lime zest and, finally, a big licorice finish comes singing through. Slightly oily feel. Great for a gimlet or martini with a lemon twist." 92 Points Wine Enthusiast

A. Mann Pinot Gris Grand Cru Hengst 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Gris from Alsace, Alsace

“The 2015 Pinot Gris Grand Cru Hengst is a gorgeously rich, intense and powerful Pinot with an oily texture, a vital acidity, great tension and length. Impressive.” Wine Advocate 93 Points

“Bright yellow with golden tinges. Perfumed aromas of guava, peach, minerals and sweet spices. Multilayered and suave, displaying a lovely sense of balance to the rich, long orchard and tropical fruit flavors. Finishes very clean and fresh, as well as a little sweet (29 g/L residual sugar and 5.1 g/L total acidity) and tannic; the hint of tannic bite is fairly typical of the Hengst due to its marly soils. Barthelmy likes the 2015 Pinot Gris Furstentum more in 2015, but for me it’s the other way around.” Vinous 91+ Points

Albert Boxler Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg 2015, 0.75L
Riesling from Niedermorschwihr, Alsace

“Boxler's 2015 Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg opens with the discreet charm and aristocratic distinction of a great wine. Very pure, clear, fine and elegant on the nose, with fine stony and herbal flavors but also ripe stone fruit and floral aromas, the 2015 tells the story of its origin in the glass in an excitingly subtle yet deep way. The palate is great! It is intense and juicy, nicely concentrated and ripe, with a touch of sweetness but gorgeous finesse, vitality and piquancy. The finish is pure and salty and develops a fascinating juiciness that explodes in the finish. This is not a wine for mouthfeel drinkers, but it is surely one of the finest, most delicate and balanced Rieslings you can find from this vintage. The combination of concentration, complexity, structure, minerality and sweetness (due to the low acidity, higher alcohol and extract) could hardly be better.” Wine Advocate 95 Points

Albert Boxler Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg Eckberg 2015, 0.75L
Riesling from Niedermorschwihr, Alsace

“The 2015 Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg Eckberg has a clear, fresh, mineral and highly delicate nose with concentrated white stone fruit but also flinty/stony aromas. Lemon flavors are here as well, but they are concentrated as in a chutney or a cake. Rich, lush, intense and beautifully concentrated (seamless) on the palate, with a lingering minerality, this is another gorgeous Riesling from Jean Boxler. Its finish is lean and finessed but also ripe, concentrated, rich, elegant and endlessly salty. There seems to be some sweetness, but the fine tannins, the body, concentration and finesse balance it perfectly. This Eckberg is fine and rich at the same time. A fascinating Riesling!” Wine Advocate 96 Points

Albert Mann Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Steingrubler 2015, 0.75L
Gewurztraminer from Alsace, Alsace

“Very ripe but precise and intense, with classic Gewurz flavors on the nose opens the 2015 Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Steingrubler, a powerful yet vital, precise and elegant wine full of tension and grip. Very stimulating its its purity and tension. The wine finished at 13.% alcohol and 37 grams of residual sugar, but you almost don't taste it!” Wine Advocate 93 Points

“Bright straw. Nuanced bergamot and candied orange peel on the nose, plus hints of cinnamon and white flowers. Bright, dense and pure, offering clean citrus and spicy honey flavors that are impeccably balanced (37 g/L residual sugar and 4.7 g/L total acidity). The finish is long and very precise. The Steingrubler always produces very delicate Gewürzes that lack the depth of the Furstentum, but are also at once refined and dainty - ideal for those who don’t like this variety’s powerful, often opulent personality. Very lovely wine.” Vinous 90+ Points

D. Coquelet Chiroubles 2015, 0.75L
Gamay from Chiroubles, Beaujolais

"The 2015 Chiroubles from Damien Coquelet is a fine, fine follow-up to his beautiful 2014 version. The lovely and sappy nose shows just a whisper of baked fruit elements in its mélange of black cherries, pomegranate, gamebird, violets, lovely soil tones and a topnote of woodsmoke. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and really nicely structured, with a sappy core harnessed behind a bit of tannin, bright acids and outstanding focus and grip on the long and still quite youthful finish. This is an absolutely superb young bottle of Chiroubles that seems to want to be a Morgon this year, as it shows uncanny structure for the long haul and is destined to be an absolutely gorgeous wine with a bit of bottle age. The hint of baked fruit tones meld beautifully into the vibrancy of the wine and really give this high class Chiroubles a bit of 1982 Bordeaux personality. It is approachable today, but I would opt for giving it at least a couple of years in the cellar to more fully blossom, as this is going to be a very uncharacteristically long-lived and epic bottle of Chiroubles." 93+ John Gilman

“Vivid ruby. Pungent red and blue fruit and floral scents are lifted by a zesty mineral note and a hint of white pepper. Palate-staining black raspberry and boysenberry flavors show excellent clarity and a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes sappy, sweet and very long, with subtle earth and floral pastille notes lingering.” Vinous 92 Points

"Rich aromas of raspberries and cherries introduce the 2017 Morgon Bellevue, a full-bodied, velvety but reserved wine with a deep, layered mid-palate, superb concentration and juicy acids. After the expressive Chiroubles and Côte de Brouilly, the Bellevue is a little more closed after its recent bottling, but it will be superb in the fullness of time." 92 Points Wine Advocate

Daniel Bouland Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes Foudre #4 2017, 0.75L
Gamay from Morgon, Beaujolais

"The 2017 Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes (4) is brilliant, unfurling in the glass with notes of wild plums, cherries and cassis, complemented by savory aromas of grilled meat and loamy soil. On the palate, it's full-bodied, deep and layered, with a slightly tauter, more tensile profile than the Corcelette that matured in foudre #7, as well as marginally more concentration. While the differences between the two bottlings aren't sufficient to merit a divergence of scores, #7 is the purist's choice and seemingly the best-adapted to sustained bottle age: it was the bottling I purchased for my own cellar." 94 Points Wine Advocate

P.M. Chermette Domaine du Vissoux Les Garants 2016, 0.75L
Gamay from Fleurie, Beaujolais

"In contrast to the Poncié bottling, the les Garants lieu à dit is located down in the section of Fleurie that borders on Moulin-à-Vent, and like the Coudert’s Clos de la Roilette, was actually once part of Moulin-à-Vent, rather than Fleurie. Monsieur Chermette gives this wine a bit of new oak, which works beautifully with the more structured personality of this cru, as it offers up a fine nose of black cherries, pomegranate, dark soil tones, gamebird, espresso and a touch of oak spice. On the palate the wine is deep, pure, full and potentially sappy at the core, with fine-grained tannins, excellent focus and grip and a very long, poised and nascently complex finish." 94 John Gilman

“Vivid ruby. Aromas of fresh dark berries, candied violet and smoky minerals pick up a hint of allspice with air. Barde-Haut 2016, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc from St. Emilion, Bordeaux

"Readers will find a rich, flamboyant wine in the 2016 Barde-Haut. There is not a ton of subtlety here, but I am not sure that matters all that much given how immensely pleasing the 2016 is. Crushed rocks, graphite, lavender, blackberry, plum, and violet infuse a Saint-Émilion that offers tremendous textural richness as well as vibrancy. Most importantly of all, the 2016 is flat-out delicious. This is a decidedly opulent, dark Saint-Émilion with all of the elements impeccably balanced. I loved it" 96 Points Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Brane-Cantenac 2005, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot from Margaux, Bordeaux

"A sexy, style of wine from the Lurtons at Brane-Cantenac, this wine (a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc) has a stunning nose of forest floor, licorice, blackcurrants, plums and spring flowers. Soft tannin, full-bodied opulence and beautifully textured, lush richness, make for a brilliant wine from this large, 180-acre vineyard. In spite of the wine’s stunning forward fragrance and lushness, the color still looks as if it is 3-4 years old, rather than a decade. This is a big-time winner in 2005 and should drink well for at least another 25+ years." 95 Points Robert M. Parker Jr.

Brane-Cantenac 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Carmenere from Margaux, Bordeaux

"The 2015 Brane-Cantenac is powerful, structured and explosive in feel. A deep, resonant wine, the 2015 boasts off the charts ripeness allied to formidable structure and tannic heft. I imagine the 2015 is going to need a number of years to become approachable and more than that to be at its best. The dark stone fruit, smoke, tobacco, spice and leather flavors pack a huge punch, but it is the wine's balance that places it among the elite on the Left Bank in 2015. Brane-Cantenac is a total pleasure bomb. I can't wait to taste it with a little bottle age." 96 Points Antonio Galloni

Clos Saint-Andre 2015, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Cabernet Sauvignon from Pomerol, Bordeaux

"The 2015 Clos Saint-André (which some readers might recognize from the chapter in my Pomerol book) is a minuscule Pomerol grower close to Montviel. It has a generous bouquet of crushed strawberry and raspberry preserve aromas . . . clean and pure, and not overwhelmed by the 100% new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, a fine thread of acidity, tightly knit red and black fruit with a touch of spice . . ."  Neal Martin, Wine Advocate

Clos du Marquis 2006, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Petit Verdot from St. Julien, Bordeaux

“Offers violet and blackberry on the nose, with tar. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a fruity, minerally aftertaste. Long and silky. Very serious for the vintage.” Wine Spectator 92 Points

“A beautifully perfumed, dark-colored wine, bursting with black plums and violet perfumes. It is, on the surface, delicious, but taste beneath that and it becomes complex and dark, with immense but velvet tannins, suggesting considerable potential.” Wine Enthusiast 91 Points

“Bright, full ruby-red. Ripe aromas of blackberry, kirsch, cedar and sexy oak. Rich, broad and pliant, with chewy, vibrant flavors of black fruits and licorice. This boasts excellent texture and depth for a second wine. Finishes with substantial dusty, fine tannins and excellent length. A serious and full vintage for Clos du Marquis, but less forbidding now that it's in bottle than a sample I tried from barrel last spring.” Vinous 90 Points

Cos d`Estournel 2008, 0.75L
from St. Estephe, Bordeaux

"This is a great wine from Jean-Guillaume Prats and tasted alongside the gestating 2009 at the chateau, guess which one I preferred? The 2008 has a wonderful, life-affirming bouquet: very pure and refined, great precision with blackberry, bilberry, briary, a touch of wild hedgerow and graphite. The palate is medium-bodied, very well balanced with slightly brittle tannin on the entry, the Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) firmly in the driving seat. Great clarity and focus towards the almost Pauillac like finish soaked in mineralité, this wine is brilliantly realized." 96 Points Neal Martin, Wine Advocate

Desmirail 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot from Margaux, Bordeaux

"The 2015 Desmirail has a nicely detailed bouquet with blackberry, briary and iris aromas, gaining intensity in the glass, a Margaux with commendable presence. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin. This is saline in the mouth, quite brine-like towards the finish but I appreciate the length and persistence here. This fulfils the promise that it showed out of barrel and constitutes one of the longer-term Margaux wines. Tasted at the Oenoconseil tasting room in Bordeaux." Vinous 91 Points

"Lovely, with crushed plum, boysenberry and blackberry fruit inlaid seamlessly with warmed anise, singed mesquite, Lapsang souchong tea and sandalwood notes. The fine-grained finish flows wonderfully. " Wine Spectator 91 Points

Composed of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot that came in at 13.09% alcohol, it is a surprisingly intense effort displaying a marvelous texture, plenty of black currant, licorice, unsmoked cigar tobacco and earthy characteristics, a full-bodied mouthfeel and stunning purity as well as density. Enclos Tourmaline 2016, 0.75L
Merlot from Pomerol, Bordeaux

"The 2016 Château Enclos Tourmaline is a monster of a wine that comes from a tiny one-hectare parcel located just across the road from Clinet. The wine is 100% Merlot brought up all in new oak (it hit 14.5% natural alcohol). It’s a magical effort that offers a saturated purple color to go with notes of blueberries, blackberry liqueur, graphite, and crushed rocks. Still tight and compact on the palate, it has flawless integration of its fruit, tannins, and acidity, full-bodied richness, lots of ripe tannins, and a huge finish. This brilliant wine should be at its peak from 2024 to 2054. It’s worth pointing out that the vineyard manager and winemaker is the talented Jérôme Aguirre who gets consulting advice from Michel Rolland. Bravo to both individuals for this awesome wine." 98 Points Jeb Dunnuck

Les Pagodes de Cos 2009, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Petit Verdot / Merlot / Cabernet Franc from St. Estephe, Bordeaux

"The brilliant 2009 Les Pagodes de Cos actually has more Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend than the grand vin (69% versus 65%) in addition to mostly Merlot and a small quantity of Petit Verdot. As powerful as the Cos in terms of alcoholic clout (14.5%), the full-bodied, round, generous Les Pagodes de Cos exhibits lots of creme de cassis and floral notes intermixed with hints of wood/barrique and spice. Juicy, succulent and remarkably fresh and well-delineated, it merits considerable attention from consumers. It should drink well for 15-20 years. Oddly enough, the second wine is superior to many vintages of Cos in the 1960s 1970s and 1980s!" 94 Points Robert M. Parker Jr.

Montrose 1998, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot from St. Estephe, Bordeaux

"Dark red. Lively. Good intensity. Young. Brilliant. Clean. Average color intensity. Fruity. Fine touches of caramel and licorice. Pure and fine. More powerful. More saline. Soft entry on the palate, very fruity, rounded and savory, developed, medium to full-bodied. The wine evolves toward juicy notes, always close to the fruit and melting in the mouth, with savor and power. It leaves in the finish a beautiful note of ripe fruit with no hard tannins, even if they are present; they are very palate-coating. Beautifully fine wine." 92 points Jean-Marc Quarin

Moulin Saint-Georges 2012, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc from St. Emilion, Bordeaux

"The Moulin St Georges is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc that was picked on the 11th and 12th October respectively . . . . . The nose is floral and generous with hints of fruitcake infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe, rounded entry. It is silky smooth and there is beautiful delineation and poise towards the finish as one often founds with this often under-estimated Saint-Emilion. Wonderful tension here, mainly thank to the 3.55pH – great persistency. Tasted April 2013." 92-94 Neal Martin

"The 2012 Moulin Saint-Georges is plump, juicy and forward, all of which make it a terrific choice for drinking over the next handful of years. Violets, lavender, spices and blue-fleshed fruits abound. Supple and sensual, with silky tannins and terrific overall balance, the 2012 is showing very well today. Although not the last word in complexity, Moulin Saint-Georges is quite delicious." Vinous 90 Points

"Fine structure combines with bright fruits and well-wrought tannins that give density. Rich berry fruits shine through the texture, conveying a ripe character to this concentrated and ageworthy wine." Wine Enthusiast 90 Points

Palmer 2016, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc from Margaux, Bordeaux

“"Technical Director Thomas Duroux and his team made one of the most brilliant wines of the 2016 vintage. Palmer is simply exceptional. Rich and dramatically sweeping in the glass, the 2016 is breathtaking. All the elements simply fall into place in a wine of mesmerizing beauty. The counterpoint of dark, sumptuous fruit and floral notes makes for an utterly compelling Palmer that will take its place among the estate's finest vintages. Dark cherry, lavender, spice and mocha are some of the many notes that build into a deep, substantial finish that is truly unforgettable. In a word: magnificent!"” Vinous 100 Points

“I wrote that the 2015 was incredible, and this 2016 is again. It’s equally structured and powerful as the 2015, yet there’s an underlying intellectual serenity to this wine. You taste it, and you want to know and experience it even more. Full and tannic yet ever so polished and beautiful. Mesmerizing. Made from biodynamically grown grapes.” James Suckling 99-100 Points

“Potentially an 100-point wine, this is beautifully ripe and rich, with sweet tannins as well as opulent black fruit tones. A higher than usual proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend gives the wine its density, sophistication and great sense of presence.” Wine Enthusiast 98-100 Points

Pavillon Blanc du Chateau Margaux. 2004, 0.75L
Sauvignon Blanc from Margaux, Bordeaux

"(100% sauvignon blanc, 14.5% alcohol) Extremely fresh, deep nose combines quinine, ginger, minerals and citrus fruits, with white peach and honey notes that suggest viognier (I could not possibly have guessed that this wine was entirely from sauvignon blanc). Rich, honeyed and powerful, with superb fat and depth of flavor. Notes of peach, citrus fruit, hay and honeydew melon. Pontallier says this may be Margaux's best Pavillon Blanc ever, and I certainly can't recall a more promising vintage." 92-94 Points Stephen Tanzer

Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux. 2015, 0.75L
Sauvignon Blanc from Margaux, Bordeaux

"Margaux's 2015 Pavillon Blanc is superb. Remarkably pure and crystalline, especially for the year, the Pavillon Blanc proves to be utterly irresistible. Lemon peel, white flowers, crushed rocks, mint and a hint of reduction develop in the glass, but it is the wine's energy that is most alluring. The intensely saline, nuanced finish only reinforces the impression of translucent purity. Readers who own the 2015 are going to be thrilled, as it is a truly magical wine." 96 Points Antonio Galloni

“Excellent energy on the nose. Not that sweet but with great energy. This could be drunk with savoury foods. Attractive toastiness. Really revitalising.” Jancis Robinson

“With a significant proportion of sauvignon (35%), just as itselder brother, Petit Guiraud stands out by its delicacy and itsairy sugar content. From the scent to the taste, Petit Guiraud 2013 immediately succeeds in seducing us by the freshness ofits fruit: grapefruit, passion fruit, pineapple… Thanks to a veryrigorous plot selection, Petit Guiraud expresses somethingdifferent of the Château Guiraud’s terroir. The wine is floraland feminine, very tasty and light!” - Xavier Planty

Potensac 2015, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot from Médoc, Bordeaux

"Deep, dark ruby-garnet with an opaque core, violet highlights, and delicate lightening at the rim. Fine blackberry fruit, ripe heart cherries, a touch of nougat, and delicate, candied orange zest. Complex, juicy, blackberry nuances, present, supportive tannins, a fresh structure, and cherry fruit reverberating in the finish; a versatile food companion." 92-94 Falstaff Magazin

"A clarity and transparency to this pretty red with currant, lemon-peel and lemon-grass character. Full body, very fine tannins and a pretty texture. Precise wine." James Suckling 92 Points

"The 2015 Potensac is just as beautiful from bottle as it was from barrel. Dark, succulent and super-expressive, the 2015 is a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. It does not have the aromatic expansiveness or body of the very best years, but in exchange, it will drink well pretty much upon release." Vinous 90 Points

"Pepper, savory and bay leaf notes lead the way, with a core of medium-weight cassis and cherry flavors. A tobacco hint and chalky minerality extend the finish, which has a pleasant austerity. A touch reticent in style, but will age well." Wine Spectator 90 Points

"While this wine has plenty of ripe tannins, the delicious blackberry fruit speaks loudest. Ripe, full and with a fine line of acidity, it is gently structured and likely to age well." Wine Enthusiast 90 Points

Prieuré-Lichine 2016, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Merlot / Petit Verdot from Margaux, Bordeaux

“This beautiful Margaux might not exceed the 2015 but it is undeniably doing a good job of keeping up. It combines elegance and richness, with extremely well extracted deep fruits and plenty of layers of finesse in the form of charcoal, slate, grilled almonds and cloves. An excellent Prieuré with good ageing potential.” Decanter 95 Points

“This wine's fruit is already delicious, full of black-currant and plum flavors. It's a structured, dense wine, yet full of fruit.” Wine Enthusiast 93-95 Points

“Layered and rich with plenty of ripe fruit and ripe tannins. Full body, round and chewy tannins and a citrusy finish. Excellent like the 2015.” James Suckling 93-94 Points

“The 2016 Prieure-Lichine took a little encouragement from the glass, eventually revealing blackberry, blueberry and violet aromas, just a touch of earthiness in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin cloaked in plenty of succulent black fruit tinged with graphite and smoke. I admire the linearity of this classic Margaux, quite persistent in the mouth with satisfying freshness from start to finish. I am sure this will reside at the top of my banded score once in bottle.” Wine Advocate 90-92 Points

“The 2016 Prieuré-Lichine is one of the most beautiful and expressive wines of the year. Dark, sensual and inviting, it possesses remarkable depth and textural richness. All the elements are in the right place. Silky tannins, bright red fruit and soaring, lifted aromatics all contribute to the wine's sensual personality. Consulting winemakers Stéphane Derenoncourt and Julien Lavenu are doing absolutely brilliant work here. The new winery, inaugurated with the 2015 harvest, is giving the team the flexibility to pick and vinify smaller lots, which is one of the reasons quality has improved in recent vintages. The blend is 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Tasted two times.” Vinous 93-96 Points

“This captures the essence of the vintage, with a mix of dark plum and currant flavors, accented by cherry and raspberry fruit, all backed by energetic, brambly tannins and mouthwatering underlying acidity.” Wine Spectator 91-94 Points

Quintus 2016, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc from St. Emilion, Bordeaux

“The deep ruby-colored 2016 Château Quintus is thrilling stuff, and my money is on it being the finest to date. Saturated purple in color, powerful notes of blackberries, currants, spicy tobacco, and a touch graphite all flow to a deep, rounded, sexy Saint-Emilion that’s beautifully balanced. Reserve de la Comtesse 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc from Pauillac, Bordeaux

“This is an impressive second wine. It shows a lot of vibrant red berries, blackberries and darker plum fruits. The palate is impressive for the vibrant and lively acidity cast amid sturdy but supple tannins. Second wine from Pichon-Lalande.” James Suckling 93 Points

“The 2015 Réserve de la Comtesse is a superb second wine. Time in barrel and egg white fining have softened some of the tannins the 2015 showed as a barrel sample, but the fruit intensity, pedigree and class of the estate are all in the glass. Black cherry graphite, smoke and licorice are some of the many notes that infuse this potent, almost shockingly virile Comtesse. Quite simply, in 2015 Comtesse is equal to, or greater than, many Grand Vins. Don't miss it. The 2015 spent 12 months in oak, 25% new.” Vinous 92 Points

Suduiraut 2016, 0.75L
Sémillon / Sauvignon Blanc from Sauternes, Bordeaux

“This is a dense wine, full of rich fruit, bitter orange and apricot. Its ripe fruit is balanced by the intense botrytis while it is also freshened by the wine's acidity. This is a great wine with a long-term future.” Wine Enthusiast 95-97 Points

“This has so much botrytis/spice character. Dried-mushroom powder as well. Full yet round and gorgeous. Exuberant softness. Very sweet and complex. Complete Sauternes.” James Suckling 95-96 Points

“The 2016 De Suduiraut has a complex bouquet with rich and honeyed fruit, superb mineral tension and wonderful detail. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, great tension and a lovely touch of spice towards the very persistent finish. What a great Suduiraut in the making here, so full of character and complexity, and yet you still feel as if it has something up its sleeve.” Wine Advocate 94-96 Points

“This has a juicy mix of glazed peach, mango and papaya flavors, with flashes of green tea and ginger enlivening the finish. Good energy for this generally forward vintage.” Wine Spectator 93-96 Points

“Botrytis arrived late in 2016, so the Suduiraut was made from just the last two picks at the estate. Pineapple, passion fruit, mint, chamomile and exotic floral notes are beautifully delineated. Plush, deep and inviting to the core, the 2016 is also quite open and expressive today, all of which suggests it will drink well with minimal cellaring.” Vinous 91-94 Points

Troplong Mondot 2000, 0.75L
from St. Emilion, Bordeaux

"Extremely young with an unbelievable deep purple color, the 2000 Troplong Mondot has hardly budged since I tasted it in 2003. Two recent tastings confirmed that this is the greatest Troplong Mondot between their profound 1990 and more recent vintages such as 2005, 2008, and 2009. Copious chocolate, graphite, blackberry, blueberry, cassis, and ink characteristics are present in this full-bodied, powerful, massive St.-Emilion. While the tannins are noticeable, they are better integrated than they were seven years ago, and the fruit, extract, and richness clearly outweigh the wine’s structure." 96 Points Robert M. Trotanoy 2008, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc from Pomerol, Bordeaux

"Full bodied and packed to the gilled with layers of juicy, sweet, chocolate coated, black cherries and plums. Stubbornly hanging on to its youth, the wine is concentrated, long, round and tannic. There is freshness, purity and a wealth of fruits in the finish that move from black cherry, to sweet, deep plum effortlessly. This is going to age quite nicely." 97 Points Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider

d'Yquem 2007, 0.375L
Sémillon / Sauvignon Blanc from Sauternes, Bordeaux

“Tasted single blind against its peers. Under blind conditions, the Yquem 2007 shines like a diamond. Nevertheless, it is initially rather taciturn on the nose, eventually opening up beautifully with touches of lemon curd, Mirabelle, and clear honey. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine definition and there seems to be a great deal of energy and vigor dispensed for your pleasure. There is such race and nervosity, and then that finish just purrs with harmony and focus. This Yquem feels just so alive and vivacious, yet there is an effortless quality here that is unmatched by its peers.” Wine Advocate 98 Points #199 Dec 2011

“Pale gold. Knockout nose of mirabelle, pineapple, spices and honey. Dense and thick but with racy acidity leavening the wine's liqueur-like flavors of peach, apricot and pineapple and imbuing it with superb energy. With aeration, this showed captivating notes of vanilla, toast and fresh and exotic herbs, plus a saline aspect on the very long finish. Still an infant, but already boasts terrific cut and purity of fruit. Director Pierre Lurton was thrilled to have a large quantity of wine at this high level of quality.” Vinous 95-98 Points

“Intense, with a wide range of maple, hazelnut-singed piecrust and apple crumble notes, all offset beautifully by a taut orange zest accent that imparts tension and length to balance the broad, rich core. Ends with a viscous feel and lingering energy.” Wine Spectator 96 Points

“Medium gold, already quite evolved. Heady stone fruits and honey on the nose, with generous fruit. Very sweet and succulent but there's fine acidity to balance the palate, which has beguiling sweetness. Very long, with a minty finish, but a tad evolved for a young Yquem.” Decanter 96 Points

d'Yquem 2010, 0.75L
Sémillon / Sauvignon Blanc from Sauternes, Bordeaux

"The 2010 Château d’Yquem is an utterly stunning young wine and a very worthy follow-up to the magical wine produced at this estate in 2009. The bouquet is deep, complex and flat out brilliant, as it soars from the glass in a celestial mélange of pineapple, tangerines, a touch of passion fruit, honeycomb, beautifully complex and chalky soil tones, spring flowers and a very gentle touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, suave and utterly seamless, with great mid-palate depth, bright acids and surreal length and grip on the dancing and very intensely flavored finish. The 2010 d’Yquem is not quite as ethereally complex at this stage as the hauntingly beautiful 2009, but in terms of sheer quality, it seems likely to be every bit as profound." John Gilman 98+ Points

“Stunningly rich in character, a wine with great power to go with its acidity and sweetness. It is dense, powerful and concentrated powered by honey and by spice from the wood. The finish has dried apricots, very aromatic.” Wine Enthusiast 96-98 Points

“Deep yellow with a golden tinge. Intense aromas of very ripe tropical fruit, beeswax, honey and raisin are lifted by a strong mineral edge. Very fresh, rich and sweet on entry, then extremely light on its feet, with refined flavors of ripe citrus, mango, papaya, honey and saffron complicated by tangy botrytis. A very bright and focused Yquem, with lively acidity and a long, smooth, floral finish. Boasts impeccable balance and lovely precision. This terrific Yquem is very stylish but less massively opulent than vintages like 1989 and 1983.” Vinous 95-98 Points

“Rather restrained now, showing terrific purity and precision, with dried pineapple, persimmon and mango notes, offset by racy honeysuckle, white peach and chamomile hints. The extremely long finish sails on, switching to yet another spectrum, with green almond, green plum and coconut accents. A thread of quinine stitches this up at the very end.” Wine Spectator 96 Points

“This is a super balanced and racy Yquem with nuts. light pineapple and apple character. Full and dense but bright and fresh. Love the spicy botrytis with light apple tart and nuts on the finish…” James Suckling 94-95 Points

Merlot / Cabernet Franc from Fronsac, Bordeaux

“Very pretty aromas of perfume, currants and orange peel follow through to a full body, round and chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Solid and structured.” James Suckling 92 Points

“Offers an enticing core of plum, black currant and raspberry paste flavors that are mixed with light charcoal, licorice and singed alder notes. This has energy to match its range through the finish. Merlot and Cabernet Franc.” Wine Spectator 91 Points

“The 2015 La Dauphine is potent, but also remains relatively light on its feet next to other Fronsacs in this vintage. Inky red/purplish fruit, floral notes and spice are among the signatures. Sweet floral notes and silky, polished tannins add to an impression of finesse. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.” Vinous 90 Points

Bitouzet Prieur Volnay Pitures 2014, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Volnay, Burgundy

"Dark, bright red. Medicinal black cherry on the reticent nose. Concentrated and very primary, conveying a strong impression of energy to the flavors of black cherry, raspberry, licorice and menthol. Very pulpy wine, like chewing on grapes. A powerful rather than elegant style of Volnay (this fruit was picked at a high 13% potential alcohol), with the very long finish showing a firm tannic spine that Bitouzet says is typical of this wine. Very impressive for the year and built for a slow evolution in bottle." Vinous 92+ Points

Chardonnay from Meursault, Burgundy

"The 2015 Meursault Les Charmes 1er Cru sports very slight reduction on the nose, but the terroir comes through: fine definition, scents of crushed stone and a little walnut, a subtle marine influence in the background. The palate is well defined with a crisp bead of acidity, saline in the mouth, with a pinch of lemongrass toward the finish. Very fine. Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay Clos des Chènes 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Volnay, Burgundy

"The lateness of the malos is in evidence as here too the nose is quite firmly reduced. As is typically the case there is even more size, weight, power and even concentration to the broad-shouldered and robust flavors that possess an outstanding level of dry extract that coats the palate and does a fine job of buffering the very firm tannic spine on the driving finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This is a take no prisoners Clos des Chênes." 91-94 Points Allen Meadows, Burghound

Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay Les Caillerets 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Volnay, Burgundy

"Moderately saturated medium red. Sexy, lightly medicinal aromas of cherry, redcurrant and milk chocolate, with a touch of peppery, spicy lift. (Unlike the foregoing wines, which are from totally destemmed fruit, this cuvée was vinified with a small percentage of whole clusters for the first time.) At once denser and more delicate than the Taillepieds, more reticent in the middle palate but with lovely mineral precision to its flavors of raspberry, black cherry, licorice and spices. Shows less of the vintage's obvious warmth than the Taillepieds, no doubt due at least in part to the lightly peppery stem influence. This wine should evolve slowly and gracefully." 92+ Points Stephen Tanzer, Vinous

"Medium red. A hint of musky, resiny reduction to the aromas of cherry, wild strawberry and licorice. Fine-grained, dry wine with terrific concentration and depth to its dark berry and spice flavors. Actually begins a bit austere but serious, late-arriving tannins carry the fruit through a very long finish. This big, rich Volnay is slightly high-toned in a positive way. The yield here was a healthy 37 hectoliters per hectare in 2015, according to François Bitouzet." 92 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous

Christophe Denizot / Domaine des Moirots Bourgogne Rouge 2016, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Bourgogne, Burgundy

"The Bourgogne Rouge bottling from Domaine des Moirots is produced from a variety of different parcels in the area, with the average age of vines thirty-five years of age. The 2016 version is very pretty, wafting from the glass in a vibrant mix of red and black cherries, woodsmoke, a touch of mustard seed, good soil tones and a bit of cedar in the upper register. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and tangy, with a good core, fine transparency and just a bit of backend tannin on the long and focused finish. This is a very tasty example that is drinking well out of the blocks, but will have no trouble keeping a decade in the cellar." John Gilman, View from the Cellar

This is a wonderful Mercurey." 91 Points Neal Martin, Vinous

Domaine de Villaine Mercurey Les Montots 2017, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Mercurey, Burgundy

"The 2017 Mercurey Les Montots is also a success this year, offering up aromas of strawberries, plum pit, licorice and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, velvety palate that's attractively textural, succulent and charming. This derives from a warm site that sees all-day sunshine and a longer cuvaison." 90 Points William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Domaine de Villaine Rully Les Saint-Jacques 2017, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Rully, Burgundy

"Our vineyard in the "Les saint-Jacques" parcel is located at the foot of an east-facing slope, just below the Clos Saint-Jacques- one of the Rully's most famous premiers crus.
Planted in 1990, this vineyard is the legacy of an old Côte d'Or vineyard-it is made up of moderate-yield Chardonnay selections. The charm of our Rully Les saint-Jacques lies in its finesse nd subtlety of aroma rather than its power. . ." Producer Notes, Domaine de Villaine

Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Morey St. Denis, Burgundy

"The 2015 Clos des Lambrays includes ninety-five percent whole clusters this year and is a stunning wine in the making. The bouquet is deep, pure and very expressive out of the blocks, soaring from the glass in a blaze of black plums, sweet cassis, espresso, woodsmoke, gamebird, raw cocoa, a great base of dark soil tones and a nice framing of cedary oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and rock solid at the core, with laser-like focus, great balance and grip and a very long, fine-grained and vibrant finish. . ." 96+ Points John Gilman, View From the Cellar

Pinot Noir from Chorey-lès-Beaune, Burgundy

"A discreet touch of wood sets off wonderfully fresh aromas that are composed by notes of red cherry, raspberry, earth and a pretty spice hint. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors possess a sappy mouth feel, all wrapped in a dusty, punchy and slightly rustic finale." Allen Meadows, Burghound

Edmond Cornu Ladoix Vieilles Vignes 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Ladoix Serrigny, Burgundy

"A deeply pitched and brooding nose reflects notes of both red and dark cherry, along with earth and wood nuances. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors possess excellent mid-palate concentration as well as plenty of punch on the firm, robust muscular and rustic finale. This is a very serious Ladoix villages that offers very fine quality. Recommended for both quality and value." 89-91 Points Allen Meadows, Burghound

Forey Père & Fils Vosne-Romanée 2016, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Vosne Romanee, Burgundy

"A fresh, spicy and appealingly layered nose is composed by notes of black currant, violet and a whiff of wood toast. The notably more refined medium weight flavors possess both fine intensity and delineation while exhibiting fine length on the sappy finish. This is very Vosne in style and I particularly like the sleek mouthfeel. A quality Vosne villages." 89-91 Points Allen Meadows

"A spicy and again attractively fresh nose offers up notes of red currant, black raspberry and a hint of violet.
