Franz Hirtzberger Grüner Veltliner Spitzer Rotes Tor Federspiel 2018, 0.75L
Grüner Veltliner from Wachau, Niederösterreich

"Medium yellow-green color with silver highlights. A hint of meadow herbs, fine yellow tropical fruit, candied orange zest, and a mineral touch. Complex and juicy, with a fine fruity sweetness, fresh acidity, and yellow fruit on the delicately salty finish; good length, has potential." 92 Peter Moser, Falstaff Magazin

Pichler-Krutzler Riesling In der Wand 2019, 0.75L
Riesling from Wachau, Niederösterreich

"A hint of creaminess creeps deliciously into the orange zest notes on the nose. The palate comes on light feet but is vibrant with zesty notes of ripe orange and Amalfi lemon. The body is slender but concentrated, almost fizzing with ripe and utterly fresh zestiness. The finish is clean, taut and dry with lasting, mouthwatering citrus. . ." 94 Points Anne Krebiehl MW, Wine Enthusiast

F.X. Pichler Riesling Ried Burgstall Federspiel 2018, 0.75L
Riesling from Wachau, Wachau

"The 2018 Ried Burgstall Riesling Federspiel is super clear and fresh on the aromatic nose with its perfectly ripe white peach and apricot aromas. Salty, pure and fresh on the crunchy, nicely reductive palate, this is a precise dry Riesling with grip and tension. Tasted after the 2017 and 2018 Unendlich Veltliners, this is a great refreshment but not easy to evaluate exactly. However, it can still stand, and that's not the worst sign. It is ripe and fresh but not green or vegetal, just grippy and refreshingly racy. Tasted at the domain in September 2019." Stephen Reinhardt, Wine Advocate

Henri Jouan Morey-Saint-Denis Clos Sorbè 2018, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Morey St. Denis, Burgundy

“Bursting from the glass with aromas of blackberries, smoked meats, licorice and cassis, the 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbé is medium to full-bodied, rich and nicely concentrated, built around powdery tannins and concluding with a long, sapid finish. . .” 90-92 William Kelley, The Wine Advocate

Domaine Charvin Côtes-du-Rhône Le Poutet 2020, 0.75L
Grenache / Mourvedre / Carignan / Syrah from Côtes du Rhône, Rhône

“Just a gem of a Côtes Du Rhône that shows both the vintage and the producer perfectly, the 2020 Côtes Du Rhône Le Poutet reveals a medium ruby hue as well as a great perfume of sweet ripe strawberry fruits intermixed with sappy flowers, pepper, violets, and hints of garrigue. Possessing a medium-bodied, vibrant, taut mouthfeel, it's perfectly balanced, has the vintage's fresh, elegant style, and a great finish. You should buy a case of this, and it will keep for over a decade. Located in the northwestern part of the appellation, Laurent Charvin pulls from vines in the lieux-dits of Maucoil, l’Arnesque, and Cabrieres. He releases a single Châteauneuf du Pape based on 80% Grenache and the balance Syrah, Mourvedre, Vaccarese, and Counoise, and the wine is not destemmed, and the aging occurs all in concrete tanks, with no contact with wood whatsoever. This is as pure and classic as it gets.”
