Jean et Sébastien Dauvissat Chablis Vaillons Vieilles Vignes 2014, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy

"This is the first wine among these 2014s to display any appreciable wood with its dried orchard fruit, iodine and lemongrass suffused nose. There is outstanding concentration and punch to the powerful and palate coating flavors that deliver excellent length on the balanced finish that is shaped by a firm acid spine. This is clean, very dry and really quite serious. Patience required." 91-93 Points Allen Meadows

Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy

“Pale, bright yellow. Explosive aromas of lemon, licorice, lichee and toasted baguette. The palate delivers a captivating combination of sucrosité, roundness and enveloping minerality, without quite the bracing stoniness of a cooler year. This very fine-grained wine boasts terrific palate presence. Finishes suave and very long, with subtle hints of lime, mint and rock.” Vinous 91-93 Points

“A beautifully if subtly layered nose flashes really lovely complexity with its pure array of spiced pear, lavender, spice and citrus wisps. The equally pure and refined middle weight flavors possess an almost pungent minerality while offering fine depth and sneaky good length.” Burghound 91-93 Points

Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chenevottes 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy

“Bright pale yellow. Lovely perfumed lift to the delineated aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers. Penetrating, energetic wine with a strong impression of salinity and dusty extract. The crop level here was 45 hectoliters per hectare but this wine, from a 1949 planting, is wonderfully plush and silky without any weightiness, conveying a tactile impression of concentration. Finishes lemon-limey and long.” Vinous 91-93 Points

“Here the nose is similar to that of the Vergers but with more prominent floral nuances. There is both more size and weight but also a slightly sleeker mouth feel to the medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a powerful but refined finish. Good stuff.” Burghound 90-93 Points

Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy

“Bright pale yellow. Deeply pitched aromas of yellow peach and white pepper show a slightly candied quality but also very good lift. Plush, peppery and broad; quite dry and mineral-driven but not austere. Very horizontal in the mouth. Finishes classically dry and energetic, with terrific mineral persistence.” Vinous 91-93 Points

“A pungent nose combines notes of resin, various white orchard fruit and floral aromas that are trimmed in hints of wood and matchstick. The succulent and seductively textured medium weight flavors also possess plenty of dry extract, all wrapped in a citrus-tinged finish that offers a bit more depth and length. Worth a look.” Burghound 90-92 Points

Robert Chevillon Nuits St. Georges Les Chaignots 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Nuits St. Georges, Burgundy

"The 2015 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru les Chaignots, a vineyard that I have a soft spot for, has a very pure, nubile, red cherry, crushed strawberry and cassis-tinged bouquet that is utterly seductive. The palate is beautiful: fine tannins, layers of dark cherry, black plum fruit with an almost confit-like finish that has wonderful definition and superb length. It might not possess the sophistication of Les Saint Georges or the Vaucrains, but the bottom line is that it is absolutely delicious." 91-93 Points Neal Martin

Robert Chevillon Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Perrieres 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Nuits St. Georges, Burgundy

"This is more deeply pitched still with its layered combination of plum, dark currant, spice and freshly turned earth. The rich, full-bodied, ripe and quite serious medium weight flavors exhibit an abundance of minerality along with excellent persistence on the firm and mildly austere but not rustic finale. . ." 91-93 Points Allen Meadows

Robert Chevillon Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Roncières 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Nuits St. Georges, Burgundy

"The expressive nose is compositionally quite similar to that of the Bousselots except that it's just a bit more deeply pitched. The clean, cool and sleek flavors display excellent delineation along with plenty of minerality, all wrapped in a wonderfully persistent and impeccably well-balanced if notably firm finale. This beauty is indisputably built-to-age. . ." 91-93 Points Allen Meadows

Robert Denogent Pouilly-Fuissé Les Cras Cuvée Claude Denogent Vieilles Vignes 2016, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Pouilly-Fuissé, Burgundy

"A notably more elegant nose flashes notes of pear liqueur, apple, acacia blossom and a whiff of iodine. Consistent with the more elegant nose, there is much better refinement to the more mineral-inflected flavors that deliver outstanding length if not necessarily more complexity on the saline, austere and beautifully textured finale. Here too patience is advised." 91-93 Points Allen Meadows

Domaine La Bouissiere Gigondas 2015, 0.75L
Grenache / Syrah from Gigondas, Rhône

“Saturated ruby. Intense red and blue fruit aromas, along with suggestions of star anise, lavender and white pepper. Sweet and penetrating on the palate, offering sappy, focused black raspberry and boysenberry flavors that deepen and spread out steadily on the back half. Smoothly combines power and finesse and shows no rough edges. Fine-grained tannins sneak in late on the long, juicy finish, which leaves behind a suave floral pastille note.” Vinous 91-93 Points

“The richly textured 2015 Gigondas Tradition deserves a couple of years' cellaring before being enjoyed. This full-bodied blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah boasts gorgeous aromas of stone fruit and dried spices, a velvety texture and a long, complex finish.” Wine Advocate 92 Points

“Fleshy and alluring, with friendly plum sauce and warm fruitcake flavors backed by singed alder and light tobacco hints, while good grip supports the finish.” Wine Spectator 92 Points

Les Aphillanthes Côtes du Rhône Villages Rasteau 1921 2015, 0.75L
Grenache Mourvedre / Carignan from Côtes du Rhône Villages, Rhône

“I think the star of the lineup is the 2015 Cotes du Rhone Villages Rasteau 1921 and this Grenache-dominated blend (there’s 7% Mourvèdre and a splash of Carignan) comes from a south-facing hillside parcel of very old vines. Full-bodied, pure, polished and even finesse-oriented, it has fabulous notes of black raspberries, garrigue and flowers. It will keep for 10-12 years.” Wine Advocate 91-93 Points

Yves Cuilleron Cornas Le Village 2015, 0.75L
Syrah from Cornas, Rhône

“Dark ruby. Sexy dark berry, violet pastille and incense aromas are sharpened by black pepper and mineral notes. Displays very good focus and intensity on the palate, offering sweet boysenberry, violet pastille and allspice flavors that show no rough edges. Supple tannins build slowly through a very long, floral-accented finish, where the floral note echoes emphatically.” Vinous 91-93 Points

Yves Cuilleron Côte-Rôtie Madinière 2014, 0.75L

"Youthful purple. Spicy blackberry and blueberry on the nose, complicated by a lively floral note. Dense, sappy and sharply focused, offering spicy dark berry flavors with hints of espresso and bitter chocolate. Finishes with impressive power and cut, silky tannins and a sexy violet pastille quality." Vinous, 91-93 points.

Montevertine Rosso di Toscana 2014, 0.75L
Sangiovese / Canaiolo / Colorino from Toscana, Toscana

“The 2014 Montevertine shows a little less density and darkness compared to its predecessors. That lighter color and leaner consistency you see here is characteristic of the 2014 vintage that saw little sunshine during the summer months and lots of rain. But, the wine also offers a point of acidic freshness, cherry brightness and streamlined elegance that sets it apart. It represents extraordinary craftsmanship by the entire winemaking team. Despite the difficulties encountered, what emerges is a graceful, charming and beautifully vintage-specific Sangiovese.” Wine Advocate 91-93
