Moulin Saint-Georges 2012, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc from St. Emilion, Bordeaux

"The Moulin St Georges is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc that was picked on the 11th and 12th October respectively . . . . . The nose is floral and generous with hints of fruitcake infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe, rounded entry. It is silky smooth and there is beautiful delineation and poise towards the finish as one often founds with this often under-estimated Saint-Emilion. Wonderful tension here, mainly thank to the 3.55pH – great persistency. Tasted April 2013." 92-94 Neal Martin

"The 2012 Moulin Saint-Georges is plump, juicy and forward, all of which make it a terrific choice for drinking over the next handful of years. Violets, lavender, spices and blue-fleshed fruits abound. Supple and sensual, with silky tannins and terrific overall balance, the 2012 is showing very well today. Although not the last word in complexity, Moulin Saint-Georges is quite delicious." Vinous 90 Points

"Fine structure combines with bright fruits and well-wrought tannins that give density. Rich berry fruits shine through the texture, conveying a ripe character to this concentrated and ageworthy wine." Wine Enthusiast 90 Points

Pavillon Blanc du Chateau Margaux. 2004, 0.75L
Sauvignon Blanc from Margaux, Bordeaux

 (Pre-Arrival Expected Early April 2019)

"(100% sauvignon blanc, 14.5% alcohol) Extremely fresh, deep nose combines quinine, ginger, minerals and citrus fruits, with white peach and honey notes that suggest viognier (I could not possibly have guessed that this wine was entirely from sauvignon blanc). Rich, honeyed and powerful, with superb fat and depth of flavor. Notes of peach, citrus fruit, hay and honeydew melon. Pontallier says this may be Margaux's best Pavillon Blanc ever, and I certainly can't recall a more promising vintage." 92-94 Points Stephen Tanzer

Y. Clerget Volnay Clos du Verseuil 2016, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Volnay, Burgundy

"Bright red-ruby. Musky, complex soil tones along with black cherry and mocha on the nose. Quite suave and silky on entry, conveying a relaxed quality (production here was 42 hectoliters per hectare) but no shortage of concentration. In fact, this is a wonderfully classy, supple wine with sexy sweetness and rocky energy (the mother rock is close to the surface here). Soil and spice notes add flavor interest. Consistent from start to finish, this quintessential, refined Volnay spreads out on the back end to saturate the mouth, with its tannins fully buffered by fruit." Vinous 92-94 Points

"Much more discreet, if not invisible, wood sets off pure, cool and restrained aromas of red currant, raspberry and soft floral wisps. There is really lovely vibrancy to the detailed, sleek and refined medium weight flavors that brim with both minerality and dry extract that serves to buffer the distinctly firm tannic spine shaping the lingering and beautifully balanced finale. This too is really quite good and worth considering." Burghound 91-93 Points

Y. Clerget Volnay Les Caillerets 2016, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Volnay, Burgundy

"Bright, dark red; not quite as ruby as the Clos du Verseuil. A slightly high-toned aroma of kirsch is quite primary and even a bit inky. Juicy and intensely flavored, showing terrific definition but also a distinct thickness of texture, no doubt partly due to the high percentage of millerandage in these vines (production was barely 20 hectoliters per hectare). Currently showing more fruit than soil in the middle palate but the very long finish reveals subtle earth tones. A wonderfully seamless wine with suave tannins and an exhilarating light touch." 92-94 Points Vinous

"There is an overt spiciness to the even more restrained nose that blends notes of both red and dark cherry, plum, violet, lavender and a whiff of warm earth. The sleek, intense and chiseled middle weight flavors flash ample minerality before terminating in a youthfully austere and wonderfully persistent finish that, like the Clos du Verseuil, is impeccably well-balance" 91-94 Points Burghound

Domaine Les Grands Bois Rasteau Cuvée Marc 2015, 0.75L
Grenache / Mourvèdre / Syrah from Côtes du Rhône Villages, Rhône

“I loved the 2015 Rasteau Marc from winemaker Gilles Ferran, and this blend of 50% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 25% Mourvèdre offers a full-bodied, rich and concentrated style to go with classic black fruits (currants, hints of cassis), crushed rock-like minerality, toasted spice and earth. Brought up all in demi-muids, it’s a blockbuster style Rasteau that will keep for a decade or more.” Wine Advocate 92-94 Points

Domaine du Cayron Gigondas 2015, 0.75L
Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mouvedre from Gigondas, Rhône

“Dark ruby. Potent mineral- and smoke-accented cherry, boysenberry and garrigue scents pick up a sexy incense nuance as the wine opens up. Sweet, seamless and penetrating on the palate, offering intense red and blue fruit, spicecake and lavender pastille flavors and a hint of smoked meat. Concentrated yet light on its feet, playing power off finesse with a smooth hand and finishing impressively long, sweet and youthfully tannic. I'd happily lose this wine in the cellar for a while.” Vinous 92-94 points

Lionel Faury Côte-Rôtie 2016, 0.75L
Syrah from Côte Rôtie, Rhône

"(40% whole clusters) Vibrant, mineral-tinged aromas of blue fruit preserves, candied flowers and five-spice powder, along with suggestion of candied licorice. Palate-staining, concentrated black raspberry, boysenberry and peppery spice flavors show very good clarity and energetic cut. The floral note comes back strong on the subtly tannic finish, which hangs on with serious tenacity and lingering spiciness."92-94 Points Vinous

Yves Cuilleron Saint-Joseph Les Serines 2014, 0.75L
Syrah from Saint-Joseph, Rhône

"Bright violet. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe blueberry, cherry cola and licorice, while a smoky mineral accent builds in the glass. Sweet and seamless on the palate, offering intense dark fruit liqueur and floral pastille flavors brightened by juicy acidity and a spicy nuance. Clings with superb tenacity on the subtly tannic finish, leaving behind sweet black and blue fruit notes." Vinous 92-94 points.

Yves Cuilleron Saint-Joseph Les Serines 2015, 0.75L
Syrah from St. Joseph, Rhône

“Dark purple. Smoke- and pepper-accented black and blue fruit aromas pick up suggestions of candied licorice, violet and star anise with aeration. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering intense, mineral-laced cassis, bitter cherry and floral pastille flavors that smoothly combine richness and vivacity. Shows excellent clarity and floral lift on the finish, which features building tannins and an emphatic echo of smoky minerals and peppery spices.” Vinous 92-94 Points

“A bolder and more assertive St Joseph from Cuilleron with more oak-derived, exotic and fragrant spices as well as dark chocolate and rich dark plum fruits. The palate has plush, flavor-drenched tannins that deliver a succulently appealing” James Suckling 93 Points

“Tasting like the blood of Syrah with its liquid blackberry, violets, flowers and peppery aromas and flavors, Yves' 2015 Saint Joseph les Serines is medium to full-bodied, seamless and silky, with high-quality tannin and a great finish. This cuvée comes from multiple terroirs and will spend 18 months in 40% new French oak.” Wine Advocate 90-92 Points
