Albert Boxler Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg 2015, 0.75L
Riesling from Niedermorschwihr, Alsace

“Boxler's 2015 Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg opens with the discreet charm and aristocratic distinction of a great wine. Very pure, clear, fine and elegant on the nose, with fine stony and herbal flavors but also ripe stone fruit and floral aromas, the 2015 tells the story of its origin in the glass in an excitingly subtle yet deep way. The palate is great! It is intense and juicy, nicely concentrated and ripe, with a touch of sweetness but gorgeous finesse, vitality and piquancy. The finish is pure and salty and develops a fascinating juiciness that explodes in the finish. This is not a wine for mouthfeel drinkers, but it is surely one of the finest, most delicate and balanced Rieslings you can find from this vintage. The combination of concentration, complexity, structure, minerality and sweetness (due to the low acidity, higher alcohol and extract) could hardly be better.” Wine Advocate 95 Points

Ostertag Riesling Fronholz 2016, 0.75L
Riesling from Alsace, Alsace

". . .the palate reveals still tightly coiled layers of lemon freshness. Zesty purity suffuses the ultraclean palate and hints at an inner well of boundless lemon zest. This wine needs to develop but promises thrilling pleasure with its concentrated, whistle-clean and dry palate." 95 Points Wine Enthusiast

"Striking licorice and dried lemon peel on the nose. A bold and crisp wine with a lot of mineral character at the long and very dry finish. This will be quite challenging to pair with food, but it really is a special wine and not a jot too powerful. Drink or hold. Made from biodynamically grown grapes and Demeter certified."93 Points James Suckling

Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc 2006, 0.75L
Sauvignon Blanc / Sauvignon Vert from Pessac Leognan, Bordeaux

"I have been enjoying this numerous times this year and it underlines how SHL is clearly in the upper echelon of dry white wine producers in Bordeaux. The wine now shows gorgeous guava and mango character with hints of pineapple and a creamy undertone. It has layers of fruit that change all the time on the palate. The phenolic texture reminds you of a soft red wine but the look and flavors are uniquely Bordeaux. It's all sauvignon blanc and sauvignon vert. Drink now or enjoy in the future." 95 Points James Suckling

Louis Latour (Domaine) Corton-Charlemagne 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Aloxe Corton, Burgundy

Taupenot-Merme Mazoyères-Chambertin 2015, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Gevrey Chambertin, Burgundy

"Good bright, dark red. Explosive nose combines raspberry, plum, mocha, tobacco, earth and smoky underbrush. Wonderfully silky and sweet but with surprising verve and tension to its red berry, spice and salty mineral flavors. This compellingly rich, deep wine finishes with fully ripe, smooth tannins, outstanding length and terrific spicy lift. I underestimated this wine in late 2016; it now displays exceptional class for Mazoyères--and all the elements to make a great bottle." 95 Points Stephen Tanzer

Moet & Chandon Dom Pérignon Brut 2003, 0.75L

"The whole is greater than the sum of the parts in this harmonious version. A delicate bead caresses the mouth, while flavors of currant pâte de fruit, dried apricot, pastry and pickled ginger expand on the palate. Subtly floral, with a fine frame of acidity driving this to the mouthwatering finish of smoky mineral and dried fruit." 95 Points Wine Spectator

Domaines Ott Côtes de Provence Chateau de Selle Rosé 2017, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Grenache / Cinsault / Syrah from Côtes de Provence, Provence

"The Château de Selle sits on a limestone slope in the forested inland reaches of Provence. The soil is nearly half rock and the sun is intense, an imposing landscape for cultivating anything, yet this rosé is one of the most elegant we tasted from the 2017 vintage. The concentration of the fruit comes through in the wine’s luxurious satin texture, while the flavors remain restrained—hints of melon, lemon and red cherry highlighting its earthy savor. It’s very pale, but don’t let the hue fool you: It’s structured and mineral, a firm rosé that wouldn’t be out of place at Le Bernardin." 95 Points Wine & Spirits

Eric et Joel Durand Cornas Empreintes 2016, 0.75L
Syrah from Cornas, Rhône

"The 2016 Cornas Empreintes features hints of cedar, brown sugar and dried spices layered over its plummy fruit (it was aged in 20% new oak, with the bulk in older wood). Full-bodied, supple and ripe, it's charming but with more stuffing than that word suggests, showing ample concentration and soft, dusty tannins on the long finish. . ." 95 Points Wine Advocate

Le Vieux Donjon Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2015, 0.75L
Grenache / Syrah / Mourvèdre / Cinsault from Chateauneuf du Pape, Rhône

“Rich and dark in profile, with delicious, velvety layers of warm fig, black currant and blackberry confiture moving through slowly, flecked with hints of ganache, roasted apple wood and tar. The finish has cut to match the heft. A real brick house that will age well.” 95 Points Wine Spectator

“Vivid ruby. Sexy, high-pitched red berry preserve, floral pastille and Asian spice aromas show outstanding clarity. Sappy, penetrating black raspberry, spicecake and licorice flavors gain weight with air and pick up suggestions of blood orange and smoky minerals. Shows impressive depth and polish, alluring sweetness and no rough edges. Showcases the best attributes of this warm vintage, finishing with silky, mounting tannins and lingering florality.” 93-95 Points Vinous

“These days, Vieux Donjon is one of the few estates in the region making only a single cuvée (Close des Papes is another). The 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape is a floral, violet-scented wine that's supple and ripe. Only medium to full-bodied, it showcases complex garrigue and licorice notes rather than oodles of red fruit and comes to a long, silky finish.” 93 Points Wine Advocate

It's about 90% Grenache and delivers a compelling mix of fragrant raspberries and savory, earthy spices. Gaja Sperss 2011, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Barolo, Piedmont

“With fruit from Serralunga d'Alba, the 2011 Langhe Sperss is a wine of profound beauty. This is a velvety and caressing expression with dark fruit layers followed by kirsch, cassis, leather, balsam herb and white truffle. The Gaja family decided to move their bottling date forward in order to preserve the integrity and freshness of fruit in this warm vintage. This move has helped to avoid overripe sensations. In fact, Langhe Sperss seems fresh and tonic. This bodes exceptionally well for its aging potential.” 95 Points Wine Advocate

“Aromas of menthol, tobacco, juicy black fruit, grilled herb and a whiff of truffle unfold in the glass. Made with Nebbiolo from the firm's Serralunga holdings and a drop of Barbera, it has a pristine palate that delivers dark black cherry, licorice and black pepper alongside firm but fine tannins.” 95 Points Wine Enthusiast

“Love the aromas of plums, flowers and dried mushroom here. Wet soil and lavender too. Full body, firm tannins and a long and delicious finish. The combination of delicious fruit and velvety textured tannins gives this wine form and structure.” 94 Points James Suckling

“A mix of licorice, black cherry, vanilla, spice and tobacco aromas and flavors marks this intense red, which stays fresh and long, showing balance overall.” 93 Points Wine Spectator

“A dark, voluptuous beauty, the 2011 Sperss is wonderfully expressive and open today. There is plenty of Serralunga volume and power, but the vintage has given the Sperss softer contours than is typically the case. Lavender, smoke, violets, mint and succulent black cherries blossom through to the inviting, resonant finish. “ 93 Points Vinous

Sangiovese / Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Merlot from Carmignano, Tuscany

"Piaggia's 2015 Carmignano Il Sasso is rich, ample and voluptuous in what is a very representative expression of the year. Bodegas Tradición Oloroso Añada 1975, 0.75L
Palomino from Jerez, Andalucía

"There is one more bottling of the 1975 Oloroso Tradición Añada from bota number one of the seven they still have from 1975. They filled 275 bottles, numbered and marked as L 1/17 (lot number one from 2017) in May 2017. The wine was released in September 2017. The single-harvest wines show more development than the soleras and they tend to have a more marked oxidative character. There are tons of hazelnuts, a spirity note and a volatile hint. The nose feels like an Oloroso but the palate has an unusual finesse, great freshness and could be considered a Palo Cortado by many, perfectly integrated and subtle. These wines are almost indestructible, but finding a bottle is already a challenge. . ." 95 Points Wine Advocate

Arcudi Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain Black Sears Vineyard 2013, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain, California

ON SALE! Original Price: $149.99

"Coming from the famed Black Sears Vineyard, better known for its black bear as well as old vine Zinfandel, this is an interesting Cabernet Sauvignon from Tony Arcudi, who worked for Michel Chapoutier and Heidi Barrett before starting his own brand. His 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Sears Vineyard spent 18 months in 50% new French oak. It is a gorgeous, flowery wine with loads of graphite, mulberry and blackberry followed by some spicy oak, a deep, rich, full-bodied mouthfeel, some supple tannins and a heady, lush finish." Robert Parker 95 Points.

“Deep, inky and powerful, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Sears Vineyard oozes with class and intensity. This is one of the more voluptuous, forward 2013 Cabernets readers will come across. The flavors are bold and intense, but all the elements are in the right place. In this vintage, winemaker Tony Arcudi pressed early to avoid overextracting. Full throttle and opulent to the core, the 2013 needs a few years in bottle to drop some baby fat. Chocolate, mocha, black cherries, new leather and smoke add the closing shades of complexity as this powerful Cabernet shows off its distinctive personality.” Vinous 94 Points

Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection 1994, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California

"This hedonistic Cabernet Sauvignon's saturated purple color is accompanied by an exuberant, sweet, enveloping fragrance of smoky new oak, and jammy blackberry and cassis fruit. In the mouth, this lavishly wooded, black fruit-filled Cabernet is extremely full-bodied, with superb levels of fruit, glycerin, and extract. Like many 1994 Cabernet Sauvignons, it possesses extraordinary equilibrium, with the sweet tannin giving the wine considerable accessibility. The finish lasts for nearly 30 seconds. This will be a fun wine to drink young, but do not discount its aging ability . . ." 95 Points Robert M. Parker Jr.

Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon The Montelena Estate 2013, 0.75L

"Montelena's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is unctuous, deep and concentrated. A wine of gravitas and power, the 2013 possesses remarkable textural richness, with a demi-glace like sweetness that is unusual for this wine and that lends an exotic feel throughout. The tannins are nearly buried by the sheer intensity of the fruit, but they are very much present. Patience will be key. "The 2016 The Big Easy is fabulous. Rich, powerful and flamboyant to its core the Big Easy hits the palate with tremendous fruit intensity. Super-ripe red cherry, raspberry jam, white chocolate, vanillin and new American oak shape this opulent Syrah/Petite Sirah/ Grenache blend. Winemaker Blair Fox has dialed in a style that captures all the exuberance of past editions, but with more nuance than the Big Easy has ever shown. Kamen Cabernet Sauvignon 2005, 1.5L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma Valley, California

"The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has put on significant weight since last year. This seems to be a common occurrence in 2005, which do have a more European structural underpinning, but have definitely increased their intensity of fruit as they have aged in cask – always a positive sign. This wine has an inky bluish/purple color to the rim, a sweet nose of white flowers intermixed with black currants, a deep full-bodied mouthfeel, superb purity, plenty of tannin, but it is sweet, integrated, and the wine long (over 40 seconds), with stunning perfume. . ." 95 Points Robert M. Mayacamas Chardonnay 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Napa Valley, California

"The 2015 Chardonnay emerges from dry-farmed, old vines on the property. In this vintage, the Chardonnay is surprisingly rich and unctuous yet it also retains its mid-weight feel. Orchard fruit, white flowers and mint, along with slightly tropical overtones, give the 2015 much of its distinctive personality. Readers who can find the 2015 should plan on cellaring it for at least a few years, as the wine needs time to shed its baby fat. Tasted again after the reds, with a good 30 minutes in the glass, the Chardonnay is flat-out gorgeous. About 80% of the wine spent time in larger foudres, which likely helped it retain a measure of freshness." 95 Points Antonio Galloni

"Chris Camarda's 2006 blend from Champoux includes cabernets sauvignon (57 percent) and franc (35) with a small amount of merlot. Marrying Washington's sunpower and the elegance of one of its best vineyards, this is a quiet wine at the outset, revealing only savory, leafy notes of graphite, juniper and cumin against a background of plum.
