Léoville-Poyferre 2003, 3L
Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Julien, Bordeaux

"I have had this wine three times out of bottle, rating it 97 once and 98 twice. It is a colossal success and a potential legend in the making. Its saturated, dense inky/blue/purple color offers up notes of crushed rocks, acacia flowers, blueberries, black raspberries, and creme de cassis. A synthesis of power and elegance, this multi-layered wine has spectacular concentration, sweet but high tannin, and low acidity A stunning effort that showcases this legendary terroir, it is a brilliant, brilliant success. The quintessential Leoville Poyferre?" 98 Points Robert M. Parker Jr, Wine Advocate

d'Yquem 2007, 0.375L
Sémillon / Sauvignon Blanc from Sauternes, Bordeaux

“Tasted single blind against its peers. Under blind conditions, the Yquem 2007 shines like a diamond. Nevertheless, it is initially rather taciturn on the nose, eventually opening up beautifully with touches of lemon curd, Mirabelle, and clear honey. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine definition and there seems to be a great deal of energy and vigor dispensed for your pleasure. There is such race and nervosity, and then that finish just purrs with harmony and focus. This Yquem feels just so alive and vivacious, yet there is an effortless quality here that is unmatched by its peers.” Wine Advocate 98 Points #199 Dec 2011

“Pale gold. Knockout nose of mirabelle, pineapple, spices and honey. Dense and thick but with racy acidity leavening the wine's liqueur-like flavors of peach, apricot and pineapple and imbuing it with superb energy. With aeration, this showed captivating notes of vanilla, toast and fresh and exotic herbs, plus a saline aspect on the very long finish. Still an infant, but already boasts terrific cut and purity of fruit. Director Pierre Lurton was thrilled to have a large quantity of wine at this high level of quality.” Vinous 95-98 Points

“Intense, with a wide range of maple, hazelnut-singed piecrust and apple crumble notes, all offset beautifully by a taut orange zest accent that imparts tension and length to balance the broad, rich core. Ends with a viscous feel and lingering energy.” Wine Spectator 96 Points

“Medium gold, already quite evolved. Heady stone fruits and honey on the nose, with generous fruit. Very sweet and succulent but there's fine acidity to balance the palate, which has beguiling sweetness. Very long, with a minty finish, but a tad evolved for a young Yquem.” Decanter 96 Points

Bollinger R.D. 2004, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Champagne, Champagne

*Champagne of the Year* -"Time has graced this wine, proving the value of Bollinger’s policy of long aging on the lees followed by prompt release after disgorgement. This RD (Recently Disgorged) 2004 is a joyous wine, staunch, cold and powerful at first, transforming to fresh fruit shadowed by darker tones of barrel fermentation. As it opens in the glass, revealing racy energy, a range of floral pear and apple flavors emerge, resonant with a sense of limestone capturing the sun and reflecting it back in pale power. Enjoy this over the course of an evening as its presence shifts, providing varied perspectives on a great Champagne." 98 Points Wine & Spirits

"Fermented in oak barrels and aged under natural corks for almost 13 years, Bollinger's 2004 R. D. Extra Brut blends 66% Pinot Noir with 34% Chardonnay from 16 crus, 88% of which are classified as Grand Cru. The wine opens with a very clear, deep, rich and aromatic but also pure and mineral-fresh nose of crushed rocks, cherries, brioche, pain aux raisin, white nougat, chalk and ripe, yellow-fleshed fruits. Highly elegant and complex on the weightless yet persistent and salty palate, this is an intense, densely woven, firmly structured yet elegant, beautifully refined and refreshing "recent disgorgement" (February 2018) that reveals just a kiss of oxidative flavors that adds even more complexity. A great Champagne on its way to improve over many years in the bottle. Tasted June 2018." 97 Points Robert Parker

Elio Grasso Barolo Gavarini Chiniera 2015, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Barolo, Piedmont

"Extremely perfumed, showing lots of rose, lavender and dark-berry character. Full body with intense density and chewiness that gives the wine great structure. Lots of flavor and focus at the finish." 98 Points James Suckling

"The 2015 Barolo Gavarini Chiniera is ample, full-bodied and rich on the palate, and yet retains its explosive floral lift and brightness, two of the signatures that are such calling cards of Barolos from this Monforte site. A rush of sweet red cherry, blood orange, chalk, mint and rose petal build in a super-expressive Barolo that hits so many high notes effortlessly. The Gavarini Chiniera is one of the wines of the vintage. Don't miss it." 97 Points Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Ciacci Piccolomini d`Aragona Brunello di Montalcino Pianrosso 2013, 0.75L
Sangiovese from Brunello di Montalcino, Tuscany

"Wild-berry, fragrant purple-flower and crushed aromatic herb aromas mingle with whiffs of tilled earth and new leather on this dazzling red. The stunning, savory palate boasts remarkable finesse combined with an age-worthy structure, offering succulent black cherry, raspberry compote, licorice and tobacco alongside taut, refined tannins. It's impeccably balanced, with bright acidity. It's already tempting, but hold for even more complexity." 98 Points Kerin O'Keefe, Wine Enthusiast

Opus One 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Petit Verdot / Cabernet Franc / Merlot / Malbec from Napa Valley, California

"Purity and brilliance on the nose with so much currant and flower character. Roses, currant bush and fresh leaves, too. Brightness is the word that comes to mind. Full-bodied and broad-shouldered. Juicy and so gorgeous now. Balance is so wonderful here. All about harmonious fruit and tannin balance. I like it slightly better than the excellent 2014. 81% cabernet sauvignon, 4% petit verdot, 7% cabernet franc, 6% merlot and 2% malbec. Drink or hold." 98 James Suckling

Realm Cellars Proprietary Red The Bard 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot from Napa Valley, California

"Last of the blends, the 2015 The Bard checks in as 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Like the Falstaff, it has a terrific purity and freshness as well as full-bodied richness and depth. Blackberries, currants, liquid rock, and tobacco all give way to a gorgeous, deep, layered Cabernet Sauvignon that’s still tight, backward and reserved on the palate. Give bottles three to four years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy over the following two decades." 98 Points Jeb Dunnuck

Riverain Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard 2016, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville, California

“Even better than the blockbuster 2015, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard offers incredible purity and precision paired with full-bodied power and richness. Thrilling notes of blueberries, liquid violets, and tons of crushed rock and minerality all flow to a ripe, sexy, seamless Cabernet Sauvignon that does everything right. A wine of incredible poise and stature, it has enough tannin to warrant 2-4 years of bottle age and is a 20- to 30-year wine." 98 Jeb Dunnuck
