Figeac 2009, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Emilion, Bordeaux

"Distinctive, with atypical (for St.-Emilion) force and drive to the black currant, roasted cedar and maduro tobacco flavors, which are supported by a dense, loam-tinged structure. Terrific roasted espresso, ganache and fig paste notes wait in reserve. Very muscular, but with the cut for balance." 96 Points Wine Spectator

Grand Puy-Lacoste 2009, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot from Pauillac, Bordeaux

"A very impressive Pauillac that won't require you taking out a second mortgage to buy a case this is deeply coloured and profound. Big and boldly structured but not over-done. Very Cabernet in style with lovely richness and concentration fresh acidity and polished tannins. The decision to use less Merlot than usual is vindicated by what's in the glass." 96 Points Tim Atkin

La Chapelle de La Mission Haut Brion 2009, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot from Pessac Leognan, Bordeaux

"Tasted at Christies' Boardroom dinner from an ex-chateau bottle. Now with three of four years in bottle, the 2009 Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc serves up a delightful white Pessac-Leognan. It has a slightly paler colour compared to the Haut-Brion Blanc served alongside. The bouquet is complex with attractive lime flower, lemon curd and heightened marine influences (cockle shell and seaweed.) The palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity, spicier than I recollect with a twist of ginger towards the sensual finish. This is a superb, long-term white Pessac-Leognan." 94 Points Wine Advocate

Margaux. 2009, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Margaux, Bordeaux

(Pre-Arrival: Expected Early April 2019)

"The nose is out of this world, with lilacs, currants, blackberries, and blueberries. Full-bodied, with super silky tannins and savory fruit and amazing flavors of fine leather, blueberries, and sandalwood. The quality of the tannins are amazing, with creamy texture and bright acidity on the end. Such classic and classicism. Delicacy. Lasts for minutes on the palate. . ." 100 Points James Suckling

Ygrec (Y de Chateau d`Yquem) 2009, 0.75L
Sauvignon Blanc / Sémillon from Bordeaux Supérieur, Bordeaux

"This is very pure, with lilting floral notes of honeysuckle and chamomile up front, followed by green fig, green almond, tangerine and Jonagold apple flavors that meld together seamlessly through the light toasty finish. There's lovely range and mouthfeel, with latent depth for cellaring." 93 Points Wine Spectator

Louis Roederer Cristal Brut 2009, 0.75L
Pinot Noir / Chardonnay from Champagne, Champagne

"Cristal is a cuvée made with grapes from the Grands Crus of Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Cotes des Blancs with the wine sitting on the lees for around six years before aging for eight months in the bottle after it was disgorged, with a dosage of 8g/l. In the glass the wine has a luminous golden color and an intense and fresh aroma from the fullness of the fruit with notes of citrus, ripe passion fruit, star anise and gooseberry, followed by a gourmandize sensation of hazelnut butter and toasted barley with a saline hint that will return in the flavor but which in the nose is a cloud of chalk. The mouthfeel has volume and tension, scenic presence and pure freshness, a giant step that animates the dynamic depth and wins you over with its energy that does not fade for a long time." 97 Points Danieli Cernilli

Moët & Chandon Dom Pérignon Brut 2009, 0.75L
Chardonnay / Pinot Noir / Pinot Meunier from Champagne, Champagne

"This is a DP that shows the ripeness of the 2009 vintage yet remains full of energy. Gorgeous aromas of cream, apple, mango, honeysuckle, and chalk follow through to a full body and super fine, tight texture. Dense and agile. Vinous. It’s like a top grand cru white Burgundy. Think Bâtard-Montrachet. More depth than the 2006." 97 Points James Suckling

Philipponnat Clos de Goisses Extra Brut 2009, 0.75L
Pinot Noir / Chardonnay from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Champagne

"The 2009 Clos des Goisses, tasted from a trial disgorgement, is more than a worthy follow up to the stunning 2008. Bright, focused and powerful, with terrific freshness for the year, the 2009 is pure sensuality. To be sure, there is plenty of vintage 2009 radiance to the citrus, orchard fruit and pastry flavors, but the blocked-malo style helps the wine retain plenty of verve. The 2009 is 61% Pinot Noir and 39% Chardonnay, with no malolactic fermentation. Charles Philipponnat chose to scale down the number of lots fermented in oak to 37% in order to temper some of the natural richness of the year. He seems to have succeeded, as the 2009 retains terrific vibrancy."  94-96 Points Antonio Galloni

Schrader Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard 2009, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville, California

"There is tremendous depth in the fruit in this massive, sweeping wine. The aromas and flavors build towards the cascading finish. The Schrader is a decidedly big, muscular wine that emphasizes power over detail." 95 Points Wine Advocate

Price: $259.99

Schrader Cabernet Sauvignon RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard 2009, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville, California

"The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard comes across as dark, plush and inviting, but with greater inner focus and minerality than some of the other wines here. Graphite, smoke, tar and licorice are some of the notes that wrap around the intense, juicy finish. I especially admire the way the RBS grows in the glass as it turns more explosive over time, yet never loses its more refined shades of expression. The RBS is 100% clone 337 from the B1 and B2 blocks. According to winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, it is the addition of fruit from B2 (new this year) that gives the 2009 much of its personality." 96 Points Wine Advocate
