Jean Foillard Fleurie 2021, 0.75L
Gamay from Fleurie, Beaujolais

"From vines that are 20-70 years old. A shy nose reluctantly offers up its aromas of mostly red berry fruit that is cut with floral and earth wisps. The sleek and attractively textured middleweight flavors possess adequate density while preserving good delineation that carries over to the youthfully austere, focused and balanced finish." 92 Allen Meadows, Burghound

Bouchard Beaune du Chateau 1er Cru Rouge 2019, 0.375L
Pinot Noir from Beaune, Burgundy

"An excellent introduction to the red wines of Beaune, this has full red-fruit and earthy character with hints of spicy oak and licorice. A crowd-pleasing balance of generosity and moderately dry tannins on the palate with good length. Should age well." 92 James Suckling

"This is decidedly riper with its aromas of poached plum, mocha, black cherry liqueur and anise. The delicious middle weight flavors possess very good energy and richness while exhibiting fine length on the dusty bitter cherry pit-inflected finale. This mouthcoating effort should be approachable young but age well too over the mid-term." 89-92 Allen Meadows, Burghound

Guido Porro Barolo Vigna S. Caterina 2018, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Barolo, Piedmont

"The Guido Porro 2018 Barolo V. S. Caterina shows tannins that are soft and fine, giving this wine an accessible approach. The wine's complexity creeps up on you with dried fruit, wild cherry, earth and grilled herb delivered over a lean-bodied style. Those tannins give the wine a little more bite and grip." 92 Points, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate

Vietti Nebbiolo Perbacco 2020, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Langhe, Piedmont

"The 2020 Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco is another terrific entry-level wine from Vietti. In this vintage, the Perbacco is especially fine. Sweet dried cherry, herbs, mint, crushed flowers, anise and orange peel grace this striking, alluring Nebbiolo. There's tons of depth and sheer pedigree, things that have not always been present in recent editions. For years, Perbacco was a very serious wine - some might say almost too serious - for its peer group. Then Vietti pivoted to a simpler style. With the 2020, Perbacco seems to once again be a wine that overdelivers, big time. Quite frankly, the 2020 Perbacco is more satisfying than many Barbarescos and Barolos I tasted this year. (Drink between 2022-2030)" 92, Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com

Bodegas Antidoto Ribera del Duero 2021, 0.75L
Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, Castilla y León

"The eponymous red 2021 Antídoto comes from a myriad of plots ranging between 30 and 100 years of age in the Soria part of Ribera del Duero at some 950 meters in altitude on stone, limestone sand and clay soils. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for nine months in 600-liter French oak barrels, only 5% of them new. It's creamy, velvety and juicy, with 14.57% alcohol and good freshness and acidity. With time in the glass, it develops more complexity and is herbal, meaty and floral, with very fine, chalky tannins. It feels young and lively but approachable. Great value too." 92 Luis Guiterrez, Wine Advocate

Bodegas Antidoto Ribera del Duero 2022, 0.75L
Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, Castilla y León

“The 2022 Antídoto is a Tempranillo from old vines in Soria, Ribera del Duero, and spent up to eight months in 600-liter oak barrels. Garnet in the glass with a purple sheen. The slightly reductive aromas feature blood, blackberry, violet and black cherry notes. The palate is dry and intense, with a reasonably structured profile softened by fine, velvety tannins and a juicy finish. This is a remarkable Soria red that leaves a lasting impression.” 92, Joaquin Hidalgo, Vinous, Sep 2023

La Vizcaina (Raúl Pérez) Bierzo Las Gundiñas 2019, 0.75L
Mencía from Bierzo, Castilla y León

"Dark violet. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red and blue fruits, candied flowers, licorice and baking spices. Gently sweet and chewy on the palate, offering intense black currant, cherry and spicecake flavors braced by an undercurrent of juicy acidity. Shows firming grip and smoky mineral lift on a persistent finish that features building tannins and a touch of gaminess." 92 Points Josh Raynolds, Vinous

Bodegas Hermanos Pecina Rioja Senorio de Pecina Crianza 2015, 0.75L
Tempranillo from Rioja Alta, La Rioja

"They are convinced at the winery that the 2015 Señorío de P. Peciña Crianza is the best Crianza they have ever produced, which is often the case with the current vintage for sale... But I must admit that the wine was very impressively balanced, nuanced and complex. It has freshness and is approachable enough while showing Rioja character and integrated oak to appeal to a wide audience. It's ripe without excess, coming through as juicy and tasty. It spent two years in used American oak barrels." 92 Points, Luis Guiterrez, Wine Advocate.

Hourglass Merlot Estate Blueline 2014, 0.75L
Merlot from Calistoga, California

"More hedonistic and plush than the Cabernet Franc, the 2014 Merlot Blueline Estate offers classic chocolaty dark fruits, damp earth, violets and hints of cedar on the nose. With beautiful purity of fruit, a soft, forward, sumptuous style, no hard edges and a great finish, this downright sexy Merlot will be a killer crowd pleaser ..." 92 Jeb Dunnuck

"The 2014 Merlot Blueline has turned out nicely. A bit more reticent than it was last year, the 2014 offers pretty aromatic nuance in its scents of tobacco, savory herbs and spice. Dollops of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec add complexity throughout. This is an unusually subtle, nuanced Merlot long on class and personality." 91-94 Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Orin Swift Cabernet Sauvignon Palermo 2021, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California

"A vibrant red, with a tasty burst of boysenberry and blackberry compote notes leading the way. Displaying singed alder, cocoa, tobacco and licorice snap elements, this offers enough energy to keep the finish going. Drink now through 2034. 24,400 cases made." 92 Points, James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, Mar 2024

Piedrasassi Syrah PS 2021, 0.75L
Syrah from Santa Barbara County, California

"The 2021 Syrah Santa Barbara County is scented of black raspberries, candied blackberries, cracked pepper, smoked meats and green olive. The medium-bodied palate is bright and chalky with restrained yet nuanced fruit and a long, latent finish. I would be inclined to drink it on the earlier side after a couple hours in a decanter, and its freshness will allow it to pair widely at the table. 2,436 cases produced." 92, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Dec 2023

Robert Craig Cabernet Sauvignon Affinity 2019, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California

"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Affinity is pliant, racy and super-expressive. A burst of red cherry fruit, blood orange, spice, menthol and licorice give this boisterous blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec tons of appeal. Soft contours and silky tannins add to its considerable appeal. This red blend from vineyards in Coombsville is terrific." 92 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com

Samuel Louis Smith Pinot Noir Montañita de Oro 2019, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Monterey County , California

"Strong aromas of rose potpourri "Strong aromas of rose potpourri and sour strawberry pop on the nose of this bottling from the Coastview and Pelio vineyards, which is quite light in the glass. The palate is full of rounded red-currant and tangerine-rind flavors, wrapped in a soft structure." 92 Points, Matt Kettmann, Wine Enthusiast
