Grand Village Rouge 2022, 0.75L
Cabernet Franc / Merlot from Bordeaux Supérieur, Bordeaux
*Pre-Arrival* - ETA January 2025
"The 2022 Grand Village (Lafleur) comes from more clay and limestone soils and is 80% Merlot (half of the Merlot is a massale selection from Lafleur) and 10% Bouschet. This beauty is medium to full-bodied and has incredible purity in its ripe red and blue fruits as well as notes of graphite, chocolate, violets, and damp earth. It reminds me of a great Pomerol and brings plenty of richness and depth while staying balanced and finesse-driven." 93-95 Jeb Dunnuck

Graville-Lacoste Graves Blanc 2022, 0.75L
Sémillon / Sauvignon Blanc / Muscadelle from Graves, Bordeaux
"Located in the Graves in Pujols-sur-Ciron, Château Graville-Lacoste has a terroir which, from a geographical and geological point of view, is in the continuity of Château Roûmieu-Lacoste located in Haut-Barsac, Sauternes. With its finesse and elegance, the blend promotes balance between the minerality coming from the depth of the subsoils composed of cracked limestone rock and the fruit is pronounced on the citrus notes. Simple, fresh and light, we find its constancy in the vintages. It tastes well as an aperitif or accompanies seafood, fish, oysters and spicy dishes." Producer Notes

Lions de Suduiraut 2016, 0.375L
from Sauternes, Bordeaux
"A bit of bottle maturation has steered this rich, yet lively Sauternes to a very appealing harmony. Plenty of candied-citrus and some cooked-pineapple character, well balanced by the crisp acidity, making this an ideal wine for blue cheese. Drink or hold. Second wine of Château Suduiraut." 91 James Suckling

."A pale yellow robe with bright glints. Delicate aromas of fruit and white flowers, with nuances of toasted bread and dried fruit. An elegant and fresh wine with a good support of acidity. Domaine de Fontsainte Gris de Gris Rosé 2022, 0.75L
Grenache Gris / Carignan / Mourvèdre from Corbières, Languedoc Roussillon
“The 2022 Rosé Gris de Gris is pale pink in the glass. Its bouquet showcases sweet melon, rose and confectionary spice aromas. The 2022 is round with a pretty inner sweetness and juicy acidity to balance. Ripe strawberry and citrus nuances linger well into the crisply refreshing finale.” 91 Vinous, Vinous.com, May 2023
"A crystalline salmon color with superb amethyst tints. Expressive and particularly tonic, the wine immediately gives off notes of raspberry, cherry and freshly picked strawberries - followed by exotic aromas such as pineapple and mango. A direct and considerable freshness - the density and richness of the fruit mingle with the superb acid vitality giving a wine with a frisson and a magnificent persistency. Stunningly balanced, this is an extremely appetent wine!" - Importer Notes

Mas Champart Saint-Chinian Rosé 2022, 0.75L
Mourvèdre / Cinsault from Saint Chinian, Languedoc Roussillon
"The harvest is manual and the grapes cooled before being pressed. Our Rosé comes from direct pressing. The grapes are picked less ripe than for the Reds in order to keep more aromatic freshness and to have lower alcohol content. The wine is aged on fine lees. The malolactic fermentation is done, the wine gains in finesse on the finish and the Mourvèdre brings power to give a real gastronomic Rosé. The vintage is ample, fruity and spicy with a tonic mineral finish. Very tasty as an aperitif, it goes very well with summer, Mediterranean or spicy cuisine: grilled vegetables, summer salads, terrines, fish soups, tapenade, eggplant caviar, grilled meats. Its low SO2 content accentuates its particularly digestible character." Producer Notes

Gavoty Grand Classique Côtes de Provence Rosé 2022, 0.75L
Grenache/Cinsault/Carignan from Côtes de Provence, Provence
"Grand Classique” combines Grenache and Cinsault in roughly equal proportions, with Carignan playing a minor role. Rather than being pressed immediately after harvest by rote as many Provence rosés are, Roselyn Gavoty macerates for several hours before pressing, and the saignée and first-press juice are vinified separately, allowing her the flexibility to blend the more succulent and tender saignée with the more angular and architectural press-juice in a manner to achieve the precise textural qualities she seeks. “Grand Classique” displays an uncanny equilibrium, with racy acidity wed to gleaming fruits that are just the right amount of vinous, all buttressed by an elegant, mouthwatering texture that speaks to Roselyn’s consummate blending skills." Triennes Rosé 2022, 0.75L
Cinsault / Syrah / Grenache / Merlot from Var, Provence
"Jacques Seysses, from Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaines, from iconic Domaine de la Romanée Conti, have teamed up with Michel Macaux, a Parisian, to acquire a 46-hectare Mediterranean estate. The 2022 IGP Mediterranee Rosé, mostly Cinsault alongside Grenache, Syrah and Merlot, exhales a fresh, delicate bouquet with aromas of red berries, lemon, pomegranate, wild strawberry and spices. Juicy, fresh and perfectly balanced, with a delicate, sappy texture, it’s long with mineral acids, iodine notes and a penetrating, mouthwatering finish. This is worth hunting down." 91 Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate, Jun 2023

Domaine Charvin Côtes-du-Rhône Le Poutet 2020, 0.75L
Grenache / Mourvedre / Carignan / Syrah from Côtes du Rhône, Rhône
“Just a gem of a Côtes Du Rhône that shows both the vintage and the producer perfectly, the 2020 Côtes Du Rhône Le Poutet reveals a medium ruby hue as well as a great perfume of sweet ripe strawberry fruits intermixed with sappy flowers, pepper, violets, and hints of garrigue. Possessing a medium-bodied, vibrant, taut mouthfeel, it's perfectly balanced, has the vintage's fresh, elegant style, and a great finish. You should buy a case of this, and it will keep for over a decade. Located in the northwestern part of the appellation, Laurent Charvin pulls from vines in the lieux-dits of Maucoil, l’Arnesque, and Cabrieres. He releases a single Châteauneuf du Pape based on 80% Grenache and the balance Syrah, Mourvedre, Vaccarese, and Counoise, and the wine is not destemmed, and the aging occurs all in concrete tanks, with no contact with wood whatsoever. This is as pure and classic as it gets.”

Domaine du Gour de Chaulé Côtes du Rhône Cuvée de la Vigneronne 2019, 0.75L
Grenache from Côtes du Rhône, Rhône
."A small amount of Cotes du Rhone is produced from the vineyards owned by the estate in the communes of Vacqueyras and Violes. As with the more noble Gigondas, this cuvée is based almost exclusively on the Grenache grape (approximately 90% of the blend annually). It is vinified in a fashion similar to the Gigondas except that the elevage is less long. This is to say that there is an extended cuvaison with stems included, malolactic is done in cuve and the wine sees a brief stay in large foudres before being bottled eighteen months after harvest without fining or filtration." - Importer Notes, Rosenthal
