“This is at once more elegant and cooler with its higher-toned nose of red cherry, pomegranate and violet. The refinement hinted at by the nose is confirmed by the palate as the middle weight flavors are definitely more elegant thanks primarily to the finer-grained tannins, all wrapped in a beautifully delineated, mineral-inflected and textured finale that is just as persistent as the Morgeot if perhaps not quite as complex. While qualitatively similar, these two wines possess very different characters.” |
