"A more muscular, deeper-pitched expression of the commune, the 2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes offers up lovely aromas of red cherries, raw cocoa, espresso roast, grilled squab and forest floor. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with a broad-shouldered chassis of fine but firm structuring tannins, beautiful purity of fruit and a long, penetrating finish. It's a stunning wine in the making, but patience will be required." |
