"The 2018 Trebbiano d'Abruzzo lifts up with a savory and enticing bouquet of crushed raw almonds, yellow flowers, hay and honey. The wine then gives way to smoked meats and musky dried peaches. It’s soft and silky in feel, energized by vibrant acids and saline-minerality, with a twang of zesty citrus yielding to granny smith apple and hints of mulling spice. This builds in richness and depth, even as the 2018 tapers off wonderfully fresh yet incredibly long and structured, not to mention that salty flourish. Wow. Give this a year or two of cellaring, and then watch it shine." |
