"The 2018 Chablis L’Homme Mort Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru was picked on September 12 and 13, and matured 72% in stainless steel and the remainder in 228- and 600-liter barrels of 2–4 years old. This has a complex and enticing bouquet of yellow stone fruit, apple peel and light stony scents. The palate is very well balanced with a slightly honeyed texture on the opening. Vivacious, with energy to spare toward the finish, this is a very fine "Dead Man" that should live on for another 10–15 years. Excellent." |
