"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Artist Series comes from a mix of vineyards and includes 7% Petit Verdot, all aged in 54% new French oak. (There's a splash of Hungarian oak as well.) Darker currants, mulberries, new leather, lead pencil, and plenty of herbal, floral notes emerge from this medium to full-bodied red, a pure, incredibly polished, balanced effort with loads of character. It already offers pleasure today yet should evolve for another 20 years if stored correctly. Drink: 2022-2042."
"The 2019 is the 28th edition of the Cabernet Sauvignon Artist Series. This version blends 93% Cabernet Sauvignon with 7% Petit Verdot. The palate revels in its beautiful balance and green bell pepper notes. A massive core of blackberry and black cherry greets you, followed by savory undertones and a lengthy finish. The oak here gently wraps around the core of dark fruits. Gorgeous now, this has another 15 years to go in the cellar. Drink: 2021-2036." |

"Truly a benchmark for Washington State Cabernet, the 28th edition of the Artist Series from Woodward Canyon checks in at 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot and spends 22 months in 54% new French oak and 14% in new Hungarian oak barrels. It offers outstanding notes of freshly picked blackberry, blue plum, spruce forest, graphite, tobacco leaf, and cedary herbs. Mouthwatering acidity, a medium to full body, round sweet tannins, and a lengthy fruit and spice driven finish complete the wine." 94 Jeremy Young, International Wine Report
