“I always get excited about excellent younger brandies, such as this organic expression from Jean Luc Pasquet, which replaces their previous Tradition Familiale and is slightly younger, with a minimum of seven years, all from the estate in Grande Champagne. Light amber, with an expressive nose of pineapple, licorice and toasted marshmallow, as well as tobacco, which carries all the way through the palate, balanced by pear and grapefruit. The soft, dry finish reveals notes of cocoa. Really impressive Cognac that falls somewhere between VSOP and XO. (40% abv)” |
