"Rich and decidedly intriguing from the start as it alternates notes of black plum, blackberry, hibiscus, turmeric, sweet paprika, yellow pepper, and saffron. Complex and decidedly spicy, it offers notes of sandalwood and crushed stone. Full bodied, with perfectly ripe and integrated tannins and a compact and solid finish that does not relent. Aged 18 months in mainly new French oak barrique. A blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc." |
