Simply gorgeous and pure fruit aromatics framed in citrus and a distinct mineral component followed by strikingly delineated, complex, chiseled flavors and a finishing intensity that must be experienced to be believed. Not an especially dense wine, certainly not as dense as the massive 1995 but rather built along the lines of harmony, balance and finesse yet endowed with simply stunning elegance and persistence.
