91+ JG. "The Harmand-Geoffroy Vieilles Vignes bottling all hails from their parcels on the northern side of the commune and was raised in forty percent new oak this year. The wine was showing beautifully at the time of my visit and seems likely to drink just a tad sooner than the Clos Prieur. The bouquet delivers a fine mélange of sappy black cherries and sweet dark berries, raw cocoa, grilled meats, a touch of bonfire and a lovely base of smoky new wood. On the palate the wine is plush, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with suave tannins and really lovely acidity adding vibrancy and bounce on the long and complex finish. Fine juice."
