Lot #45. Jacques Prieur Clos de Vougeot 2005

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 92-95 AM.
The ripest wine to this point with a distinctly floral component adding nuance to the cassis and blackberry aromas that precede the rich, full, serious and sleekly muscled flavors that are supported by a concentrated, tannic and hugely long finish. This is not an elegant wine or even especially sophisticated yet it's an absolutely serious wine built for the very long haul. Don't even think of cracking a bottle for at least a decade and even that will be too early. Allen Meadows, Apr 01, 2007
Provenance: The Sea Cliff Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $110
