“I have cellared several cases of Camille Savès Brut Rosé over the years and have been extremely happy with the results, and the new release looks to be every bit as excellent as the bottles I have in my cellar. The nose on the current offering is flat out outstanding, as it jumps from the glass in a blaze of blood orange, fraises du bois, chalky minerality, warm biscuits and a topnote of orange peel. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, crisp and laser-like in its focus, with a tightly-knit personality, a great core of fruit, very refined mousse, and superb length and grip on the perfectly balanced finish. This wine has stunning potential, but I would like to see it after it has had a year or two in the cellar to allow its secondary layers of complexity to emerge.” |
