Albert Boxler Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg Eckberg 2015, 0.75L
Riesling from Niedermorschwihr, Alsace

“The 2015 Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg Eckberg has a clear, fresh, mineral and highly delicate nose with concentrated white stone fruit but also flinty/stony aromas. Lemon flavors are here as well, but they are concentrated as in a chutney or a cake. Rich, lush, intense and beautifully concentrated (seamless) on the palate, with a lingering minerality, this is another gorgeous Riesling from Jean Boxler. Its finish is lean and finessed but also ripe, concentrated, rich, elegant and endlessly salty. There seems to be some sweetness, but the fine tannins, the body, concentration and finesse balance it perfectly. This Eckberg is fine and rich at the same time. A fascinating Riesling!” Wine Advocate 96 Points

Figeac 2009, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Emilion, Bordeaux

"Distinctive, with atypical (for St.-Emilion) force and drive to the black currant, roasted cedar and maduro tobacco flavors, which are supported by a dense, loam-tinged structure. Terrific roasted espresso, ganache and fig paste notes wait in reserve. Very muscular, but with the cut for balance." 96 Points Wine Spectator

Grand Puy-Lacoste 2009, 0.75L

"A very impressive Pauillac that won't require you taking out a second mortgage to buy a case this is deeply coloured and profound. Big and boldly structured but not over-done. Very Cabernet in style with lovely richness and concentration fresh acidity and polished tannins. The decision to use less Merlot than usual is vindicated by what's in the glass." 96 Points Tim Atkin

Montrose 2000, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot from St. Estephe, Bordeaux

“Just starting to open, it shows beautiful spices and dark fruit on the nose and palate. It’s full-bodied with ultra-fine, integrated tannins and an extremely complex, refined finish.” 96 Points James Suckling

“Tasted at the vertical in London, the question was whether the 2000 Montrose would be paradigmatic of a vintage whereby the wines have remained sullen and broody in their youth. On this occasion, to my surprise I found it more open than the 2005 (which admittedly is not saying that it's open for business!). It is a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot picked from 22 September to 7 October. I afforded it a couple of hours in the glass and it responded with plenty of pure ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit, hints of cold slate and even charcoal emerging with time.”  94+ Points Wine Advocate

“Full red-ruby. Roasted, smoky aromas of blackberry, blueberry and licorice. Plush, dense and large-scaled; expands impressively in the mouth. Chocolatey-ripe but kept fresh by nicely integrated acidity. Offers lovely sweetness without going over the top. Finishes with big, dusty, horizontal tannins and lovely aromatic persistence. Offers extraordinary texture and depth of flavor for a wine with just 12.8% alcohol.” 94 Points Vinous

Montrose 2005, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot from St. Estephe, Bordeaux

"The Château Montrose 2005 has a quite brilliant bouquet with intense blackberry, cedar and tobacco scents that unfold in compelling fashion – but don’t give too much away. The palate is full-bodied, a Montrose of “architecture” thanks to its vaulted tannin, perfect acidity and immense precision on the long finish. Everything here feel natural and effortless and yet it is clearly a 50+ year old wine. This is a fabulous Montrose, one built like a Bentley." 96 Points Wine Advocate

Nenin 2005, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc from Pomerol, Bordeaux

“A complete and sexy wine with very polished and refined tannins yet there’s an energy and posture that gives the wine such intrigue. Buy it.” James Suckling 96 Points

“Very grapey on the nose, with mineral, tarragon and fresh flowers. Full-bodied, with very well-integrated tannins and a light vanilla, berry and milk chocolate aftertaste. Subtle and balanced. The best Nenin in years.” Wine Spectator 93 Points

“A very smooth, rich wine, with a slight touch of pepper from the alcohol. The tannins are huge but submerged by ripe fruit. There's almost Napa-like ripeness, but also delicious acidity.” Wine Enthusiast 90-92 Points

“Very good, yet clear and clean blackcurrant fruit. Nice touch of iron on the palate. Plump, rounded, fleshy and succulent, but it avoids heaviness thanks to the lively acidity. Ripe tannins give structure and there’s a distinct earthiness that is actually quite appealing.” Decanter 91 Points

“Pure, intense black fruit. Rich aromas with a hint of vanilla and violets. Succulent and moreish - tannins are rich and ripe and upright but very come-hither. Delicious.” Jancis Robinson 17.5 Points

Pavie Decesse 1998, 0.75L
from St. Emilion, Bordeaux

"The 1998 Pavie Decesse is medium to deep garnet-brick in color and explodes with fabulous plum pudding, prunes, blackberry preserves and blueberry pie notes with hints of smoked meats, garrigue, dusty soil, cast iron pan and star anise with dried roses and cinnamon stick wafts. Full-bodied, concentrated and packed with rich exotic spice and black fruit preserves layers, it has loads of mineral and meat sparks and a very, very long, layered finish. Incredible!" Wine Advocate 96 Points

"What glorious aroma. It's so clean and focused, with crushed raspberry and blackberry on the nose and hints of oak barrels. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and lots of fruit. Big and powerful and very young. Give it time; it's getting better and better." Wine Spectator 93 Points

Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux. 2015, 0.75L
Sauvignon Blanc / Sémillon from Margaux, Bordeaux

(Pre-Arrival: Expected Early April 2019)

"Margaux's 2015 Pavillon Blanc is superb. Remarkably pure and crystalline, especially for the year, the Pavillon Blanc proves to be utterly irresistible. Lemon peel, white flowers, crushed rocks, mint and a hint of reduction develop in the glass, but it is the wine's energy that is most alluring. The intensely saline, nuanced finish only reinforces the impression of translucent purity. Readers who own the 2015 are going to be thrilled, as it is a truly magical wine." 96 Points Antonio Galloni

Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays 2014, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Morey St. Denis, Burgundy

“This is such a perfumed wine with deceptively soft tannins and great fruit. The acidity is classic for the vintage, with raspberries and intense freshness at the end. It has a fine line of tannins and a life that will go far.” Wine Enthusiast 96 Points

“The 2014 Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru is matured in 50% new oak and is 100% whole bunch fruit. It is blessed with a winsome bouquet. As usual, there is something very natural, unimposing and refined on the nose: blackberry and briary, a hint of graphite, a subtle leafiness maybe, and yet delineated and very pure. The palate is lively and energetic with crisp tannin, black rather than red fruit, linear and very classic in style with what you might call a "cool" marine-influenced finish that has fine salinity. What a great Clos des Lambrays that will put a smile on the face of those that adore refined Burgundy.” Wine Advocate 93-95 Points

“Spicy, exuding sandalwood, nutmeg, vanilla, floral and wild cherry flavors. Silky in texture and firmly structured. Accents of bay leaf and green olive seep into the mix as this fans out on the long aftertaste.” Wine Spectator 94 Points

“Medium red. Highly complex, aromatic nose combines raspberry, underbrush, flowers and spices. Juicy, energetic and mineral-driven, if a bit youthfully imploded (and still affected by the bottling). Not a fat wine but with its flavors of red berries, mocha, earth and brown spices it's an essence of Morey-Saint-Denis. The acids and tannins are not at all aggressive, which should give this grand cru relatively early accessibility.” Vinous 92 Points

“Some evidence of new oak and drive here. Edgy with some nuttiness. Lots of savour and tight build. One of the most youthful 2014s.” Jancis Robinson 17+ Points

Philipponnat Clos de Goisses Brut 2006, 0.75L
Pinot Noir / Chardonnay from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Champagne

“The 2006 Clos des Goisses is stellar, but it is also going to need quite a bit of time to come into its own. Powerful and ample in the best of the Goisses style, the 2006 hits the palate with serious intensity. Orchard fruits, lemon oil, white flowers and almonds are some of the many notes that open up in the glass, but, as is often the case with young Goisses, it is the wine's gravitas that is front and center. Even with all of its overtness, though, the 2006 retains striking, crystalline purity. I imagine the 2006 will reward Champagne lovers with many decades of truly exceptional drinking. The only thing the 2006 needs is time. The question is: How much?” Vinous 96 Points

“A statuesque Champagne, with a firm, well-sculpted frame swathed in a fine and creamy mousse, featuring notes of yellow plum, pastry, candied ginger and spring blossom. Delivers a long, chalky finish. Disgorged October 2015.” Wine Spectator 93 Points

“Firm straw colour. Really distinctive nose – rather minerally and intense. Soars out of the glass. The bead is just a little coarse and the wine positively screams for attention. Although the dosage is so low, the wine actually tastes quite rich, although it finishes very firmly and dry. A really personality-laden wine. A whole percentage point more potent than most. Kerpow!” Jancis Robinson 18 Points

Domaine Saint-Damien Gigondas La Louisiane Vieilles Vignes 2016, 0.75L
Grenache / Mouvedre / Syrah / Counoise from Gigondas, Rhône

"Deeply colored, the 2016 Gigondas La Louisiane comes from single vineyard on the lower plain, not far from the estate, and is 80% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, and the balance Syrah and Cinsault. It offers a classic bouquet of dark berry fruits, peppery herbs, garrigue, and obvious minerality. Reminding me of the 2010 with its pure, straight style, it’s full-bodied and elegant on the palate, and is going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age." 96 Points Jeb Dunnuck

Donnhoff Niederhauser Hermannshohle Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel #18 2017, 0.75L
Riesling from Niederhausen, Nahe

"The 2017 Hermannshöhle Auslese Gold Kap has about the same ratio of botrytis to golden berries as the Brücke Auslese in this vintage and offers up a beautiful, gently glazed and quite complex nose of white cherries, clementine, slate, honey, orange zest and just a hint of saltiness from its excellent extract. On the palate the wine is medium-full, elegant in profile and very vibrant in structure, with a lovely core, excellent focus and grip and a very, very long, zesty and perfectly balanced finish. Great juice that will age for decades and decades, but will want at least a year or two more in the cellar than the Brücke Auslese before it starts to really blossom". John Gilman 96 points

Gaja Costa Russi 2011, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Langhe, Piedmont

"Brilliant, intense ruby with pronounced garnet highlights. Open on the nose with rich notes of ripe cherry and raspberry followed by ripe watermelon in the background. Splendor on the palate: first shows a lot of red berry fruit and a fine luster, then opens up with polished, dense tannins and finishes with firm persistence and a long finish." 96 Points Falstaff Magazin

“The 2011 Costa Russi delivers youthfulness and brightness with bold cherry fruit flavors, cassis, spice and mild cola. The wine excels in in the mouth where it shows a great degree of roundness and suppleness. Costa Russi is Nebbiolo with a tiny addition of Barbera.” 94 Points Wine Advocate

“Round, supple and succulent, the 2011 Costa Russi is laced with dark red cherry, plum, mocha, cloves and new leather. The classic Costa Russi personality comes through in a soft, gracious wine with tons of near and medium-term appeal. The Costa Russi captures an attractive middle ground between the ripe, pliant style of the year and the medium bodied grace of Nebbiolo. I expect the 2011 will offer a long and broad drinking window of pure pleasure. Although Costa Russi is often the most precocious of Gaja's single-vineyard wines, it is the last site to be picked.” 94 Points Vinous

“Surprisingly bright for the vintage and displaying Gaja's trademark elegance, this offers aromas of blue flower, perfumed berry, cake spices and a whiff of leather. The ripe palate delivers mature black cherry layered with white pepper and cinnamon alongside supple tannins.” 93 Points Wine Enthusiast

“A succulent, fluid red, featuring black cherry, raspberry, leather, spice and anise aromas and flavors. The ripe fruit is layered over a taut weave of acidity and tannins, leaving a long, complex aftertaste of cooked fruit, mocha and spice.” 93 Points Wine Spectator

“Lots of white truffles, dark berries and mineral aromas follow through to a full body with fine tannins and a chewy finish.” 93 Points James Suckling

"An opaque core with bright ruby rim. The nose just explodes from the glass: blackberry, bilberry, violets, morning dew and cassis all with superb delineation. The palate is full-bodied, magnificent and regal, with better definition and focus than the millennial port. Forman Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California

"The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is dense, pliant and wonderfully expressive. Ric Forman's wines are always on the restrained side, but the 2015 packs a good bit of punch. Sweet red cherry, raspberry, sage, mint, and rose petal overtones all add to the wine's precision and nuance. In 2015, Forman took in fruit from Thorevilos, which he co-manages with David Abreu, but ultimately decided to add that juice to the Cabernet Sauvignon rather than bottle it separately. Dollops of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec round out the blend. This is one of the classiest wines of the vintage." 96 Points Antonio Galloni

Heitz Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon Martha`s Vineyard 1987, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville, California

"The 1987 Martha’s Vineyard hails back to the time when the labels stated 13.5 percent alcohol, and in this most recent vertical tasting of the wine, one did get a strong sense that this vintage and earlier were indeed just a tad less ripe than subsequent vintages. This slightly lower octane seems to allow an even stronger signature of soil to infuse the wines. The 1987 Martha’s is a great, great wine that seems to have been lost a bit in the shuffle when it was released, as it followed on the heels of the specially labeled 1985. The bouquet is deep and absolutely stunning, as it delivers a complex blend of black cherries, mint, a touch of chocolate, Rutherford dust, pretty mineral tones and an exotic topnote of allspice. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure and transparent, with a seamless attack, a sappy core, and great length and grip on the tangy and perfectly poised finish. A great vintage of Martha’s that is a bit undeservedly overlooked in the pantheon of Martha’s Vineyard bottlings." 96 Points John Gilman

Levy & McClellan Proprietary Red 2007, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California

"The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon has closed down slightly since last year. Now in bottle, it exhibits an opaque purple color as well as a similar but more subdued bouquet of lead pencil shavings, burning embers, blueberry liqueur, creme de cassis and flowers. Powerful, rich and pure, its statuesque structure, lavish concentration and formidable tannin levels suggest 3-5 years of bottle age is warranted. This may turn out to be the finest Cabernet Sauvignon produced in the short history of the Levy and McClellan Diamond Mountain winery, although the 2008 has the potential to equal it. The 2007 should last for three decades or more." 96 Points Robert M. Parker Jr.

Schrader Cabernet Sauvignon RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard 2009, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville, California

"The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard comes across as dark, plush and inviting, but with greater inner focus and minerality than some of the other wines here. Graphite, smoke, tar and licorice are some of the notes that wrap around the intense, juicy finish. I especially admire the way the RBS grows in the glass as it turns more explosive over time, yet never loses its more refined shades of expression. The RBS is 100% clone 337 from the B1 and B2 blocks. According to winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, it is the addition of fruit from B2 (new this year) that gives the 2009 much of its personality." 96 Points Wine Advocate

Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 2014, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Helena, California

“Spottswoode 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is striking. Black cherry, plum, graphite, spice and menthol are some of the signatures. Intensely mineral and savory, the 2014 comes across as a slightly restrained version of the 2013. The flavor and tannin profiles are both quite similar, but the 2014 is a bit smaller-scaled in all of its dimensions. That is not a bad thing, as the 2014 will be ready to drink sooner. This is an impressive showing.” Vinous 96 Points

“Amazing burnt-orange and currant aromas with tar and lead pencil. Blackberries, too. Changes all the time. Mesmerizing. Full-bodied and powerful with super-polished tannins and a long and intense finish. The polished and fine tannins coat your mouth. Glorious. Needs three to four years to soften.” James Suckling 96 Points

“This wine shows oodles of fruit, blackcurrants, blueberries, black raspberries, charcoal, subtle oak and a full-bodied, inky, intense mouthfeel with a boatload of tannin, but the fruit is present to balance it out. This wine needs another several years of bottle age and, while not up to the levels of 2012 and 2013, it is a highly successful effort and capable of lasting 30-35 more years.” Wine Advocate 95+ Points

"First, a warning: this is only for those who like their rye big and brawny. It starts off innocuously with a maple-syrup color, and a pretty, complex and subtle scent: honey, vanilla, a sight medicinal tinge and faint clover notes.
